You and Carlos absolutely crushed it dude...what a workout (who needs to go to the gym). I was so glad to see you wearing work boots. Good to see you implementing the lessons you learned from previous projects. The cart you built to carry materials down to the worksite was an ingenious idea. Also, I'm glad you got to fully cover the structure during the dry season. By the time the rainy season arrives, you'll be safe and dry inside your "self-built" A-Frame house.

I'm not the only one who will breathe a sigh of relief when the floor is down and we don't have to worry about anyone falling through to the ground! I'm confused about the order of things: it seems like sometimes it's windows first then walls, sometimes it's walls first then windows. You have a plan, though, and it's looking amazing. Keep it up, you're almost there!

Rodrigo... if you put the wheels more toward the center of the cart, an the load is balanced....same weight on both sides of the axel, then it will be very easy to lift. I am glad you finally built something for taking materials down....work smarter, not harder. Also, you should start using pulleys and block and tackles to move your materials. You are already using a slope and the wheel, but there are other primitive tools at your disposal. You can weld a horizontal beam to the outside of the second floor, high up, and then use a block and tackle to lift all your materials and furniture to the second floor....then, when you are finished, just cut the beam off and finish that bit of outside.

Hey Rodrigo and Carlos, it certainly makes a difference when you have a helper when moving heavy stuff. Myself, I would have gone with 4x8 sheets of siding. Much easier because you're covering such a large area all at once. Less than 3 sheets would have covered the whole thing. I think you need to buy Carlos an extra big ice cream bar. Lol Ps. I think I must have missed something. Where is Lola? I haven't seen her lately. Is she ok?

To cut repetitive angles make a jig. Use a short cut off piece and cut the angle of your roof line. For the next piece measure the long length, lay the tip of the jig on that mark, and draw your angle and cut. Because you're leveling each piece the angle will be constant. Hope this helps speed things up a little!

say did you ever hear of dry pouring concrete? it might work where you live. look it up on KZbin. amazing technique and very easy way to give you a nice concrete porch or portico. you would need a hose that could mist. that is the secret. you do not have to mix the sakrete with water first and pour. you can pour the dry mix in a carefully made form and then mist it with water after smoothing to perfection. you mist it five times or more with an hour between each misting. you do not want the water to pool on top of the sakrete mix. it is amazing to watch people smooth the dry powder. there is also no need for rebar. it lasts really well and tends not to crack at all. a bit rougher than smoothed concrete but very very nice indeed.
