Thank you for letting us know that room temperature you were operating at. Some of us who live on the tropic side of the world do not have 22° c room temperature unless we are operating in full with an air conditioning system.

This is the case. I keep bouncing back and forth between a full on RGB style MATX build or something small. Initially the Thermaltake T100 was going to be my choice but after seeing some size comparisons with other ITX cases, it is a bit large. I want something that is modern, small, and elegant, though it would be nice if it had a soft glow.

Just got mine recently. I'm using a Noctua NH-L9a cooler with a 5600x. Idle temps are high (67-70) and temps while gaming were unacceptable(88-95c). After drilling a decent size 1/4" hole pattern on the top of the case (toward the back), temps dropped about 8-9c. Even then still on full load my temps are in the mid/low 80s. Given the 5600x runs hot anyway, I think the temps could still be better. Waiting for a NA-FD1 fan kit to add to the CPU cooler which should drop the temps even more. Pretty sure that will get me into a temp range I feel better with. Went ahead and ditched the front plastic piece, which only seemed to block the fan intake. I actually prefer the look better with out it. Also replaced the 140mm fan with a Nactua NF-A14. I got the case when it was on NewEgg for $136. I do like it, but i'll be keeping an eye out for something better down the line with better ventilation.

NA-FD1 fan kit added and MADE HUGE DIFFRENCE! Just installed it last night and ran a few matches in Shatterline. Before the NA-FD1 fan kit (with hole mod) I was getting 80-85 temps now 67-71c!!!! HOLY MOLY. Looks like ill be sticking with this build for a long time!!

I hate saying aluminum too. Case looks great! My one issue with these sorts of cases when it comes to a lanbox is the not-so-good CPU heatsink clearance. I like air cooling.

Good review, I'd still love to see the graphs tho The spreadsheet might be good to read but I find that in a video, a graph will give you a better idea in less time 🙂

I had the graphs built but 56 data points required 3 separate graphs and took longer. All 56 on a single graph was way to cluttered and confusing.

I'm trying to think of what project you might be planning for this case. My thoughts are maybe a case for older framework motherboards connecting the gpu by thunderbolt for a compact solution for the old motherboard

I've this case with I7-12700K with 3080 and it overheats in a second if I play any game :D Now I'm planning to add some small 35mm fans on top of case and make front fan to blow hot air outside to see if it does any change. Now I have to open the case little bit to maintain normal temperatures.
@lashaandghuladze3685

Removing the front plate and rotating fan to blow outside did some great job! It does maintain 80-90ish temp on CPU and good temps on GPU, wow was not expecting that.

I would try to keep that cable clutter away from the front of the panel and in that space under the motherboard and graphics card. That fan is already struggling with airflow for it to be even more restricted by a bunch of cables.

Any thoughts on an AIO 120mm cooler for the cpu? I have this case and bought a 12700kf. Struggling to keep it from thermal throttling (i stuffed up, i though the 12700 had a tdp of 65W. Its actually 125W smh). I have a silverstone h90 cooler atm which is also part of the issue (its rated to 95W tdp). Only small form coolers i can find with a better tdp rating are AIO's. But itd be sacraficing that front exhaust. Thats to say if it fits at all!

@gregw7684
@gregw7684 Ай бұрын
@kaisersoymilk6912 yeah, that's pretty much how it should have gone. Wasn't aware of how hot they run. Have got it under control now with a DeepCool AN600. For anyone struggling with high CPU temps in a tight space, I highly recommend this cooler. Now run the i7-12700 without a power limit and max out at 50°C. Before using this cooler I had tried a few others, I was easily thermal throttling at 80W. Installed the AN600 and never looked back.

@stever1514
@stever1514 Жыл бұрын
@@ElevatedSystems You're right the N1 was in their video. I really want a good drive solution but I'm going to settle for a refurb Mybook Duo for now until my channel starts making money. I record 4-6 angles of video so I'm up to about 250 gigs per hour. I need a new workstation too but I've priced out PC components and it's hard to beat the value of an M1 mac, esp at the used prices they've dropped to recently. I don't think a system with a 3050/60 is going to beat the mac for 4k editing.

maybe a 5600x would be a better choice for this case, better thermals, same game performance, no throttling so you might be surprised
@ElevatedSystems
@ElevatedSystems Жыл бұрын
Noctua gives the same rating to the 5600x but any Ryzen CPU will work if you take the time to undervolt and optimize it. We'll, maybe not Ryzen 7000 series lol.
@Get-Rekt
@Get-Rekt Жыл бұрын
@@ElevatedSystems I mean, if you took a 7600X and undervolted it a bit, you would get a great performance as the thermals aren't really a problem. Yes, it will run at a high temperature. No, it won't lose performance.
