It’s ironic how he mentions the scribes would walk around Jesus and their primary focus was to tell him that he’s not abiding by Moses’s law; instead of focusing on what god, Jesus, is doing right in front of them and writing down these new miracles. And then, pastor Franklin turns around at the end and says that you have to focus on what’s in the book and only the stories of the past... Reiterating what the scribes had done and acting like god isn’t around us everyday teaching us how to trust, love and grow in him. And love others. Aren’t we supposed to pick up the pen? Continue writing? Continue learning and growing? I wouldn’t call it picking and choosing aspects of the Bible, but learning and growing from what’s been established. Expanding like the universe itself. I think it would be an incredible project to ask parishioners their testimonies and write them down. Like an extension of what the Bible is. A group of stories chosen to impart knowledge and guidance and show god’s grace. It would be beautiful. That’s what I was thinking as he talked about picking up our pens. Telling our stories of god and how he’s loved us and inspired us. I’m still thankful god spoke to me through this sermon. Thank you, Elevation.

My sermon notes for "this is not your final chapter": 1.) The best years are not behind you and the best opportunity is not behind you. Stop focus on the past but ready for the new miracles that God is working, a new chapter is coming. You have to choose by your faith and your belief in what God is going to do as a foundation off of what he has already done. 2.) Take good notes when the King makes you a promise, when God speaks to you he is always working in favor of you. If God could do it then he can do it again, remember what God did 3.) God is always providing miracles, periods can turn into commas, focus on where you are and what God is doing, your pen will best weapon that God provides you with, God will provide you with a fresh page that is meant for you. Let the Lord's instructions guide you to what is right. Take your pen out, your best chapters have yet to be written, God is about to give you your best chapters, the pen is your weapon. Allow yourself to experience the extremes of God, he always has more and better things for you, get your knife off the promise, your tongue is the pen. There is power in what you continually pray, praise and prophesy for. 4.) Your next chapter is blessed, what is next for you will be more than you can ever imagined, God will be everything you want and need. When outside forces are telling you that it's over, don't let that pen have the final say, God always has more and better things for you. You have your own pen for your own life story

I just saw a highlight clip watching Coffee Fam and I started bawling at the message I received from the Holy Spirit. I didn't finish watching Coffee Fam and cried through most of this message. This touched my soul more than I can describe. I haven't taken notes on a message in a while, but I had started taking notes at the beginning of the message. I'm a singer and a writer and have had the enemy going hard at my life for decades, but the worst of it started 9 years ago. When I was a kid, I felt God meant me for something great. Greater than I could imagine. I left the church for 22 years. This past year I was finally baptized and joined a church (still watch Elevation) and have been reading the Bible and praying faithfully. I know God is still working something big in my life. A couple weeks ago I felt the Spirit giving me a Word to write. I had been studying and reading, but I was so moved by the Spirit that I couldn't sleep without writing down the message. The next day I spent hours working on writing the vision I was given. I'm still working on it, but wanted to share that this message was for me. Thank you for filling my soul by the movement of the Holy Spirit through your spoken word!

As a writer what I hear from that story about Zebulon and their reward is that God will reward those who step into battle (step out) in faith, with the words they need in that moment. As Christ said, don't worry what you will say but the spirit will give you utterance. I don't think there's anything wrong with studying but if you're paralyzed the first thing you need to do is step out and write something, anything. It may not ever be published or even saved but sacrifice to God that control you're so desperately guarding and see if he will not strengthen your hands more and more.

I needed this today. I am homeless and have struggling with the instability for over a year after being married to a very abusive man. I have been sick several times during this homelessness experience, including having COVID-19. My dad was given 6 months to live in August and diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. My mother and siblings had disowned me in 2020. I just found out that I am 11 weeks pregnant with my first child, a gift a God that I am beyond thankful for. I am currently stranded in a city far from anything that I know. Before this I was sleeping in an abandoned building without power, bathroom or heat. I have never been more sure that my God is Jehovah Jireh but there are days that are physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually draining. I thank God for His Holy Spirit, for this ministry and for making me dependent upon Him.

I needed to hear this ! Jesus is writing me another story.i have felt like that woman for a few years now, I feel like I got caught up in soul ties and bad relationships while I struggled to succeed at the toughest job I ever tried to accomplish, a Navy career. I allowed insecurities, and the spirit of fear and rejection turned my whole world down. I lived on a performance lie, and when I ended up not performing as I should, I broke my own heart and lost respect from mentors I truly cared about. 💔 I created my own worst nightmare and lost everything. It's has been extremely difficult to believe in myself again after I broke my own core values and struggled further in addictions. Judgments come from everywhere, and it wasn't until I found God and this church that I regained faith in the idea that my life isn't over,and it's not my final chapter. The pen is in the house,love is possible, restoration from brokenness and success can still be had, in Jesus' name, Amen. Happy 17 years Elevation, and God bless you all. Thank you for being a part of my next chapter 💕 ✨️
