I will too but im talking a self defense spontaneous street fight that I hope I don't run into but if I did I can only imagine all the interference " resistance " cause I'm picturing me if I was put in those positions and I would definitely have a chance just by being strong,springy,spontaneous with lighting bolt resistance cause I'm a back yard boxer but im learning how to grapple n that combination can come in play cuz im like Mike Tyson grappling,all I need is a little space or gap that they always give n underestimate cuz nobody else is as small,n not use to those little gaps ever,I mean ever being deadly but I find a way to squeeze out of em but not the good guys or pros but I betcha I would surprise them with speed that,I just need to learn the trade that can take a lifetime to be a Master n still alway perfecting...

THAT is incredible. I feel like there’s a whole concept class around that head control

Thank you! I landed this tonight (in Gi). Slightly modified; once I got my leg over my opponent's head, he stood up to stack, and I adjusted to a belly down arm lock.

That is a damn good variation for higher levels and i did actually nearly catch the traditional variation of this recently but then it ended up as a regular armbar finish

This is amazing. Great tip can’t wait to try it
@MerkManos7 ай бұрын
Why have i not been taught this variation already? 🤔🧐
@lazrea71297 ай бұрын
Try this, but instead cross their arms and put the arm on tops shoulder under the calf like shown. Using the bottom arm youll have enough leverage to not even need to transfer the head behind the leg. The bottom arm should be under the top arms elbow, and you should put the top arm under your armpit, and lean back.

My coach taught us not to bring the leg all the way over for the armbar, if they remove an arm then there is a triangle.

where would you place the leg leg then to secure the arm bar?

Why not just do a proper rubber guard set for the armbar instead?
@ChristopherWeaver-cx8lh7 ай бұрын
Armbar? It's looking like a shoulder pull? Why doesn't mattering his legs outward rolling towards his left? While attempting to roll you over on your face into the ground....there's more thoughts I have thereafter depending on the variables sir. I admittedly know very little to almost nothing about the art sir just to be clear..

@S.N.T.2477 ай бұрын
@bellevuepersonaltraining4602 yes. I train martial arts. I don't compete. If your goal is to win $5 trophies. Cool stuff. But let's both recognize what's realistic and what isn't. Fair enough?
