A bit late to make 'the big author comment', but I wanted to say thank you for playing The Bonus Rooms. I appreciate the genuine interest in really exploring it to the end. It's an incredibly short experience, but I made this in mind of wanting to explore what a "Mario purgatory" would be. Details of what happened to Mario or who/what lead him to his death are stuff I want to keep a mystery. The biggest ones are about what the repetition means or what the entities are. Some stories don't need a huge game to get the most of it. :) I created some neat effects, especially the "combination lock" mechanic behind the main Bonus Rooms...rooms. I'm also proud of the fact there's not a drop of blood or jumpscare in sight. There are a few easter eggs to find as well if any player wants to try to hunt them down.

I have a lot of respect for those that that rely purely on atmosphere instead of sudden loud jumpscares (not saying the ones that do are bad) so that people of all ages can enjoy their experiences. Good job on that!

I have a theory! “Long Live the Prince” is very similar to the phrase that Scar said to Mufasa before dropping him from above the canyon in “Lion King”. In the finale, we see that something or someone drop Mario from the top of Peach’s Castle. What if Luigi, in his jealousy of Mario, was the one who did it? That’s why we see him in the graveyard, regretful of his action, and when he sees Peach he run away

I have a theory in this universe. Mario is the son of peach and died as a baby or toddler peach kept grieving long after the death. Well the brother Luigi inherited the throne but still visited the grave from time to time meanwhile as Mario’s brain activity went faster than the bodies rhythm and sped up as he died he kept reliving his life could’ve been like had he lived and eventually meeting all the dead Marios from all the Mario universes as when a Mario dies a copy the dead Mario copy is sent to the same reality as every other one so we play as the Prince Mario trying to escape dead Mario preparatory the tornado is all the things that could’ve happened to him combined with the concept of death in other words death plus wasted potential
