They brought it back for a while but rescinded it again in the mid-2000's. It's been pretty much what governor is in there. Scott Peterson was supposed to get it and now it looks like he's getting a new trial. I can tell you California doesn't know if they're coming or going out there anymore, no wonder people are leaving.

I work about a mile away from where this happened. I was driving to work just after this happened around 3 in the morning. I thought a cop was shot with the amount of police showing up to the scene. The people that did this just lived down the street from the victims. Another one that was arrested lived down the street from a friend of mine. Also Visalia is only 4 miles to the east.
