I work at Macy's and the location I work at (among 39 others) is closing. I feel like I have no control over that, but I can't be sad before we close in mid March. This explains me so much because every one gets mad at me when I act so calm in a situation that can be solved so easily. Don't judge me but I lost my dads credit card the other day in an attempt to make a return via a transaction. I admit I was scared but I retraced my steps in hopes of finding it, but failed to. So I told my mom "I lost my dads credit card" (she was in the mall with me in a different store at the time). All she did was tell me how I lose everything and how I shouldn't have done that. Now I like to know how certain events happen before I take action. I already knew I could call the bank and easily lock the card and replace it, and get a temporary card from the bank the next day. But she said, "is that all you can think of?! Look for it !" I remained calm and collected. Sure my dad got mad but I remained calm. Just to conclude this way too thought out story, just remain calm, don't stress (it's bad for you) and figure out a rational solution without losing your head :)

I never usually comment on videos but this video is seriously what I needed right now, and more. I have my first exam coming up tomorrow and I've never been in so many arguments with my family all due to the fact that i was so stressed and balling my eyes out wanting everything to be right, but thinking about it now, in my bed, having watched this video, and with all the crazy exam information in my head…none of it really matters and so what if i don't pass?! 1) i can always re-sit the exams if I'm really ashamed with my results,, 2) i hope to do something in music and i highly doubt 'Of Mice and Men' will be much help to me. I legit just had a talk with my dad last night because I'm a person like Connor that I freak out when I loose control and I fear and freak myself out about the unknown. Hi Connor, I am typing this comment simply because I have had your book for less than 48hrs, and have read it cover to cover. I absolutely fell in love with it and could not put it down. I am so happy that I now have something to remember and look at that will give me a push in life when I need it, and to calm me down when dealing with anxiety. I thank you for this. You truly have made an impact on my life, and I know I will take many of your words of wisdom with me throughout my life. My only complaint is that you don't have a second one!

Nawh connor, I feel you tho! Once my flight was cancelled and I literally missed one day and I got so upset and frustrated.. But then I realized, why not spend my time wisely and in a fun way instead of wasting my energy with anger and frustration? I'm now just trying to always look for fun things to do in unexpected situations and just make the best out of it, even though in the back of your head you still really wanted it to go as you planned.

Aww that was so cute nice to see him being postive. This summer I went to a trip to europe and when I came home my flight got delayed 6 hours. What was supposed to be a 21 hour flight turned into a 27 hour flight. Which sucked we were already so exchausted gotten off a 13 hour flight. But at least it was better than getting stuck there overnight.

woW. you videos always ALWAYS make me feel better :) im moving schools next year and i have really bad anxiety and im a anti social weird freak of nature so yeah.. i tend to keep to myself and so change also terrifies me but in some wierd ways i also embrace it when i can. but i am terrified of moving schools even though it's meant to be a nee fresh start since ive been through alot of shit the past 5 years but this video really helps. all your videos do. you never fail to give the best advice :)
