Recently Kerala High Court said that a portrayal of a woman's naked body should not always be seen as sexual or obscene. Here's my opinion on this statement issued by Kerala High Court. Let me know your thoughts on this!

Keralites have an indestructible stereotype mentality which I've commonly noticed in older generation but there are people who think different as well and they get oppressed, because in kerala we have a majority who believes what was right during their time is still right and should be followed as it is maybe because it worked for their generation it's not necessarily it will fall same for us.

I can totally understand ..the amount of rules in our pg hostel (remember PG not even UG) in one of the famous university in Kerala really pissed me off. Post which when I went to Indore for my thesis work I understood what freedom is. I was breathing liberty.

Sooo true.. ❤❤❤🙏 As a malayalee, I prefer to stay out of Kerala and away from typical kerala mindset people 😞.. My parents, especially my Dad, he's from Pala, has the same regressive thinking, though he hes educated, seen the world.. But the mindset not changed.. Still a 'Country'😏.. It's like ingrained in their blood and nerves🙄. . I'm 35 yrs, still I'm have to think soo much before interacting with guys . .i have had soo much difficulty for the longest time..cant communicate openly with them!! ..I have not partied or done late night outs with anyone in my life till now!! Not had any drinks, Not gone for any trips alone or with frnds.. So this shows their mentality and regressive training! Coz ithe okke gud girls should not b doing acc to dem! Anyway, I have kept minimum communication with dem that's the only way for me

The problems is that the voices of your parents and elders are still inside your head dictating what you should or shouldn't do in your life, it is influencing all your actions and decisions. This has to stop..! Unclutter your mind from all these influences and start with a fresh mind.

I moved to kerala from the Middle East to do my higher secondary education and I have to admit everything you have said and in addition to that the bullying I had to endure from the students which I understand as we are all young and immature but the metal harassment I received from the management and teachers were unbelievable! To the point where I was suicidal! And when my parents came to ask about it it was blamed all on me and my upbringing! There has to be workshops for teachers and management by physiologists and social workers so as to how to handle children and adolescents! As not all children have the same capacity and capabilities to go through the mental abuse!

This is sad ...but I think we should not give any sort of excuses to bullying, age and immaturity are not a reason to bully someone. True ...teachers must be prepared and learn how to handle conflicts.

It was so new to my friends that I was ‘allowed’ to talk to my guy friends. The thinking is so backwards that I thought my parents were wrong for the longest time when they told me that it was okay to communicate with boys and girls alike!!

Completely agree with the regressive way in which Church and religious congregations run these institutions. But something that the presenter misses in my opinion is the general acceptance by the public of the systematic control on the social life of the girl child. I attribute this to the largely church and caste group run school education and religious education such as the Sunday schools in Kerala. Though number 1 Kerala education system has a lot to learn from schools and colleges from cities like Delhi and Mumbai.

What is normal in kerala? Kerala is a madhouse as told by Swami Vivekananda centuries back. Militant trade unions have ensured that most industries will run away from kerala. And so most youth leave this state for livelihood. So your concern will addressed by youth themselves after their education by running away from the state. Now most youth have started to take higher education in other states or country. So the issue is resolved well.

Went to school in Kerala during my childhood. The physical and psychological abuse I saw was astonishing. I didn’t understand it as a child but as an adult lot of things makes sense. Physical punishment, public shaming, gossiping, favoritism that’s even on skin color, classism. I noticed the teachers and the administrators had the ability to manipulate the students and also parents. Even letting the parents to agree upon the teachers to beat the child. If the child goes home bloody it should be looked up as discipline. Don’t get me started on the sexual abuse incidents. These people had the ability to create something beautiful in a community but instead abused it to the core. When abusing the younger generation these older generation forgets the fact that they are tomorrow civilians. No wonder why Kerala is becoming a crime and drug addicted habitat. Not too late to change it though. 😊

In total agreement with this. In many institutions, the students are forced to live a compromised life. Why cannot students be treated as individuals with the deserving dignity. High time to act on it. Making this comment to express my solidarity in this matter. The matter needs to be discussed in legislative assembly, with a humanitarian approach, leading to the issue of the right bill / law.

Ppl say this distinction is for improving their respect towards the other gender..what actually improves is sexual frustration. after 10th, students must earn and study..Then Children will attain a level of maturity, They will understand about responsibility, money management and most importantly they will be having "life experiences" ..eventually parents will get to know that their children are stable and thereby allowing them to have a say to choose what's best for them in the future ..both professionally and personally..

I studied at CA institute in Trivandrum. Where when we used to go for our lunch break the sir used to make sure the boys left first and then only he would let us girls go. He used to keep us in separate rooms and stand in the middle and teach while holding a door, by popping his head on both sides. And the hostel, oh my god. Traumatic.
