Thank you very enjoyable video. Always have thought the Piney Woods Homestead is a beautiful place. We are getting ready to grow some chickens for eggs and food so i will keep this video in my library so when we start cutting up chickens will watch this. Thank you Lisa and Matthew 😊

Thank you! My mother is better at it than I am. I should have shown how to get the wishbone (pulley bone). That was always a great at the table when I was a kid. Have a good day!

I’ve never heard of fried green beans. How do you go about battering those. My husband does not like green beans. This might change his mind. Thanks for sharing your ventures. God Bless!

My favorite way is to rinse the whole bean after trimming the ends. While they are damp roll in cornstarch and then beaten egg before rolling in bread crumbs. Fry them and salt to taste. Dip them in ranch or any other sauce you like. They are fantastic.

If I lived nearby, I'd be so happy to buy a few broth packs! Weird how over the decades soup bones and broth packs aren't sold anymore except farm markets.
@PineyWoodsHomestead3 ай бұрын
I bet there not sold on account of most folks don't take time to make their own broth but it is sooo good! Have a good day Nancy!

You have a great work space and some really awesome produce and meat. I be praying you get a pop up shower to help your crops. We got one yesterday and I heard it raining again during the night. What a blessing from above. Praise the Lord I don’t have to water again this morning.

That's great! Calling for showers over the weekend. Right now we are picking green beans. Have a good day!

My Grandma would have given anything to get in that bean patch and picked those beans. She loved picking them. If that one chicken you cut up was like the rest, y'all had some fine Rangers this year. It looked as good as any Cornish Cross I've seen. Y'all be careful out working. I almost overheated watering the garden yesterday morning. I just saw the weather. They are calling for a 40% chance of rain Saturday and 60% Sunday. Y'all have a great day!

We have to go pick beans again in a few minutes. I'm dreading the humidity but we will get it done! It's easy to overdo it in this weather. Hopefully that rain comes! Be safe out there Mark and have a great day!
