I worked alongsude a DEI hire at a bank. We were constantly making up for him. For example, he was $1,000 off one day when we all balanced out at day's end. He was unhappy with his job and so were the customers. Alot of extra work for us. Hiring and everything else should be merit based.

Quality control fails when inspectors can't shut down production or maintenance activities without getting slammed. As a former quality control inspector in the military, I never had to face that situation. I reported directly to the Commanding Officer who took the job seriously. There were times that I was wrong, but work only proceeded after the situation was investigated and the issue resolved. We did not and would never knowingly fly unsafe aircraft. Of course, I was fortunate to be part of the unwoke military.

Rather than pay American engineers for their experience and expertise, Boeing has chosen over the last decade to farm out much of its intellectual property overseas to the lowest bidder.
