Thanks for your tips, I really like the ctrl+shift option to change the volume for a selected section of a track. This is going to save me so much time. And, omg Reaper does so much and does is so well!

I m basically a Nuendo and Cubase user for last 20 years. 6 months ago i downloaded Reaper. With your tutorials my interest is growing day by day now. Everyday i have been learning some new tips and thoughts. The basic differences between Cubase and reaper are more clutterless and clean UI of cubase 10.5 and dedicated short cuts or onscreen arrange window editing on the fly. But reaper is more interesting with more detailed musical works with so much key commands which we have to create or to customise as our preferences. Evauluating around 200 days i m now thinking to buy a license to use it in my home studio. Definitely Reaper is a strong contender to all pro Daws with its all plugins support with 32bit or 64bit of nature in a single workstation. Thanks to the developers and Kenny for this amazing masterpiece and tutorials. Love from India.

Envelope button isn't in the arrange view tracks on Reaper 7, but it's still in the mixer. EDIT: Just found out about the layout settings in Options, you can set it to the "B" layout and it's gonna have everything that was previously hidden.

I did not know you even had a reaper 6 playlist , i had to go into your playlists to see what you had. this is really great tho. thanks. Can you automate parameters like EQ and stuff in Reaper, i know they can do this in logic because I am following this guy's tutorial on how to make a certain style of music and he is automating his EQ it is a really neat trick.

4:32 doesn't work for me. I can't copy any automations on the same track (like volume or pan e.g.) neither to others. It's so weird. I don't find the solution. Checked all the settings as well. :/ Somebody has an idea?

When I open an automation track, the green volume is at the very top, meaning i can only decrease the volume, not increase it. Obviously, I'm a newbie. Can Kenny or anyone here tell me what I'm doing wrong? How do I get that volume line in the center? The tracks have plenty of headroom, so it's not like they're maxing out. Thanks!

Thanks for your Reaper videos. They are very informative and helpful. I've run into a problem though and I'm hoping you might be able to help. I've recorded 8 tracks from my modular synth into Reaper. While I recorded the audio, I also recorded automation (volume envelopes) via a MIDI controller. I see the recorded volume envelopes on each track. I can activate read mode and watch these recorded automation envelopes actually control the channel faders, but they are eye candy only. Even though these faders are being controlled by these volume envelopes, I still hear the unaffected audio playing from all 8 channels. What am I missing here? Recorded volume envelope automation visually controls channel faders, but has no actual effect on channel audio.

Can you directly write the volume/output settings into the envelopes? Can you adjust it with a key to -2db or -3db... etc (Like a numeric adjustment on the faders)?

How can I assign custom actions (either toolbar buttons, keyboard shortcuts or midi commands) to just to very specific envelope points for a selected envelope lane? I want to do this while the track is running so I can set lighting presets on a VST lane - not by using Automation Items that I have to load manually and then drag/drop them around. The envelope points are very specific; like .01 is preset 1, .02 is preset 2, etc. I've tried a couple of the custom scripts and I can't find anything that will let me assign a bunch of separate actions to each specific point value that I need.

I'm having problems with envelopes not having enough control for what I am trying to do. I'm using JS Tone Generator and automating the pitch (bass tone) however what I'm trying to achieve is a bass drop in key with the song. For instance I'm trying to do Bass Drops and I want to start from a specific point which is easy enough in Reaper. What is NOT easy is setting the exact number I want it dropping TO! Is there a way to type in/adjust envelope points for finite control over envelopes?
