Awesome, thanks for these, they are really helpful. I still remember the olden days, recording on 8-tracks on cassette tapes, and having to use the punch in and out pedal, and getting these janky sounding hard punch transitions. We've really come a long way from those days.

Good afternoon, I am not a skilled person in working with reaper but I have learned a lot from your videos. I have only had problems separating the channels and the sounds overlapping and I would like to know how to avoid that.

07:35 how to be always recording in reaper?? when i do the same thing just a loop? do I miss some part?

is there a pre-roll and post-roll for the auto-punch or item-select recordings? I mean, let's say a drummer's cymbals sustain longer than time duration of the recording, can recorded take be dragged further to "reveal" additional recorded length?

is it a TTS or your voice?

NO RECORD finally found this---figured it out 72 articles later. Microsoft mojave update is what did it - it automatically disables permissions for the microphone including reaper. Fix is in system preferences>security and privacy>microphone in case anyone runs into the same problem. Toggle Reaper mic to on and ask WTF!!! why!

Hey Kenny! Are these updated videos to reflect the most recent version? or just re-uploads?
@REAPERMania2 жыл бұрын
Re-uploads with the newer intro. KZbin pushes new videos over old ones and I think new users will get more out of these instead of just watching all my new ones. But I'll have all new ones in January. Thanks.

@@REAPERMania Thanks Kenny! I am psyched to see the new ones.. I am also about to finally upgrade from 5.983 to the latest.. I had the studio shut down for most of COVID lockdown, had to steal the studio PC for remote work in my home office. So when I got off my ass and set it back up this summer for a paid gig singing on a songwriter's project, I was too afraid to mess with it and upgrade. I am ready, and your channel is my bible for Reaper.. Cheers, have a happy New Year and I hope the algorithm blows up yer channel, You deserve it.

@@REAPERMania hey Kenny i have one question. When I record in reaper it happens that my track sometimes when I hit the guitar really hards it goes purple on +0 on reaper but on my interface it doesn't seems to be clipping so it is only a light indicator or is really clipping?
@REAPERMania2 жыл бұрын
@@Doomerbolic Probably so little that you don't hear it but I would still try to record a bit lower. No benefit as you can always turn it up in the DAW.

@@REAPERMania the problem is that I already have the gain at 0 on the interface
