15 of 15 ... that makes me sad 🙂 Thanks and please never stop. You made me buy Reaper and the quality of my podcast gets better and better while I am getting faster. Regards from Cologne in Germany, Stephan

Hey Kenny !!!! Same as Stephan... 15/15 (plus like a thou I had seen before). Just wanted to take a minute to sincerely thank you for all the work you put into this and for all the impact your work has had on mine. You are both, a producer and a teacher, and those are two noble titles ;) Cheers from Queretaro, Mexico !

Reaper is so handy and easy to use, but honestly Kenny, much of that is down to all the effort you put in. I know first hand how much effort goes into producing a video like this, and I would like to thatnk you for making that massive effort. It is hugely appreciated, and is part of what makes Reaper so great. Right Here!

I can't seem to figure out why the options for dithering and noise shape and stretch markers and take markers are not an option to check. Any idea?

Kenny, as a chronic sufferer of pebcac, technophobia and being a guy that uses Reaper only when i have material worth recording, once a year (if I’m lucky). I am quite possibly the world’s longest Reaper newbie, as i first downloaded it in 2009. My motto is, “I don’t have to think - because Kenny does it for me”..bravo kind sir

Why is it that when I render a master mix as an mp3, the playback sounds so compressed? The crispness gets lost and the sound quality isn't very good compared to listening to the mix in Reaper. I've been battling this for years. Is there a better way to render so the sound quality isn't affected?
@wereallthinkingit93896 ай бұрын
Your recorded tracks are wavs And an mp3 is a compressed file of those wavs That's why cds that contain songs that are wavs sound better than music videos and on streaming platforms My mixes are rendered to 24-bit wav before i master them After the master I render the mp3 at 320kbps, and it does help, but all in all, an mp3 is a smaller file due to being compressed Also, i found that 48000hz for my sample rate helped too because My tracks are recorded at 48000hz through my interface I'm no pro, but i assume because i was rendering at a lower sample rate than the rate it was recorded, it affected my audio Find out what your sample rate is and try rendering to that if not already doing so and render the mp3 at 320kpbs This helped my mp3s drastically I could be wrong, but I'm just suggesting what helped with my stuff.. Good luck

Hey Kenny, love your videos man! You're one of the best out there, keep it up! Hey, QQ for you. How do I rearrange the project tabs in my reaper instance? Let's say I have 4 different project tabs open, but I want to change the order, how can I do that without closing all projects and reopening the ones I want to use in the order I want. Dragging to the left or right does nothing on my end. I'm on a Mac, by the way. I appreciate any help you could give me. Thanks so much!

Hi Kenny, thanks, you make all this stuff super clear. I've one problem - my rendered WAV files are very low volume compared to the original mix. I wonder what I'm doing wrong?
@jrfoster1980 Жыл бұрын
Hey Kenny, super useful as always. Request - in the render queue, it would be useful to show the file type (mp3, wav etc) so you know which one is which. In your example, you did 3 file types but the render queue didn't show this file type, so if you wanted to remove the mp3 (for example), you wouldn't know which one.

Oh, Kenny big thanks, but what is "2nd pass render" in Reaper 7 render options? Do I need to enable this option for high-quality rendering of the project? Thanks

Helpful video, although I find your staccato speech pattern quite distracting. Also, I would love if you covered the various sample rates and why it matters. Thanks!

Hi Kenny, thanks for all these great tutorials. Before I buy a new DAW, I need some advice. My Reaper (paid version, I know this doesn't really matter) has been crashing for the past few months. During playback, the tape head stops suddenly for about a second (no audio, everything stops) and then continues. This happens with one or more tracks, with or without plugins. It can stop once or several times depending on the length of the tracks. I have uninstalled it several times, reinstalled it and the problem continues. My laptop has more than 50% free disk space, 16gb RAM, and I have checked Reaper's RAM consumption, and everything is below normal. I'm not technically proficient in these matters, but I've searched the net for a possible solution, but haven't found one that addresses this specific issue. I signed up for the Reaper Blog, but I've been waiting for their permission to join for 3-4 days now. Any help would be appreciated.

Is there anyway for reaper to export the midi created into a folder automatically like it does with the recorded audio?? It is tiresome remembering to export midi on every project! If anyone would know, I expect you are the One....Thanks Kenny!!! Aka Audio Highlander..😁

So how do you "bounce to just a track"? I'm saying I don't want a file rendered to my hard drive yet. Also, I do know of the check box for writing the file to a track at the same that you are writing to disk, but again, how do write to just the track?
@vandorb12 Жыл бұрын
There should be something in the action list for you, or you'll find something in the SWS Extensions to do what you need. You're still going to write a file regardless.

your voice is super soft compared to your intro and it blasts my eardrums in my headphones. Just a suggestion to see if u can lower your intro sound bytes or raise your voice levels to match so folks dont have to adjust volume watching ur videos
