Cismigiu park is under construction and redecoration for few months. So will be greater than before by summer.

Bucharest is also crossed in the North by the Colentina river, but it is made up of a string of lakes (initially these were marshes).

The Romanian Atheneum 14:23 is the symbol of Bucharest. It used to be on most postcards of Bucharest. About Cismigiu Garden, it is currently being under repairs. You should visit Herastrau Park and the Village Museum next to it.

Good review, cheers! Well, the arch represent the history of some of hardest battles fought in WW1, in/by Romania. After initial defeat in the south Romania managed to stop the combined advance of Germany, Austria - Hungary, Bulgaria and the Ottomans and even moved on offensive, against the great German marshal, von Mackensen, in the battles of Marasesti, Marasti, Oituz. What they called the Verdun and Somme of the east. So the arch represents the triumph, in the fight for survival, against all odds.

Have you visited the Thermae in Bucharest? The largest indoor spa in Europe. Or the House of Parliament, Carturaresti library, etc.
