Its very rare for Australia to produce films but when they do its great

YES! A couple of KZbinrs, RackaRacka, made this movie on a $4 million dollar budget and it made $92 million dollars at the box office, making it one of the highest grossing horror movies ever made. A prequel and sequel are in development for a possible 2025 and 2027 release, respectively.

Ohh! I used to watch their vids! Had no idea they were behind this

Yup under the tutelage and guidance of the producer and production team from The Babadook and their treatment turned into a screenplay written by the creator of the kids program Bluey. A good team of people taking young directors under their wing for a decade doesn’t happen often but it should.

If you guys don’t know , the ghost she let in when she went over 90 seconds is the one imitating her mom. That’s why whenever she sees her she looks wet and etc. She and the spirit that got Riley were working together .

Legal drinking age in Aussie and NZ is 18, so most teens will have their first drinks and parties around 16 and 17 years old so typicslly most Mothers and parents will host to make sure every one is being responsible and safe XD

I think when Mia first let go after seeing the old man. She ended up letting two ghosts in, both the old man and the drowned bloated lady.
@israelleonchacon929110 ай бұрын
AND the drowned woman took her mom's looks, it was all a scam from the after life world.
@Zombie_Trooper10 ай бұрын
I actually disagree with Morgan, I want to see a prequel regarding the origin of the hand. It might be bad, possibly derivative, but the second they mentioned that in the film I was fascinated by the concept.
@superkoopatrooper487910 ай бұрын
I would prefer it being a completely different stand alone horror movie with the only link being the hand.

Your friends shirt with the green skeleton on it ironically is the scene from the movie when the ghost tries to take out his eyeball😂😂

you’re right that it was never her mother that was talking to her. It was still that drowned woman she connected with at the beginning. You can tell as it goes on her mother starts looking worse and worse and soaking wet.

BEST end for a horror movie
@kool2btrue10 ай бұрын
You guys missed a lot this time. If you notice the mom ghost gets wetter and bloated over time, meaning Mia was always under the influence of the first ghost when she went over 90 minutes. As the ghost loses control, she starts turning back to its true form, and even tries to stay behind her or partially blocked. When ghost dad attacked her, it was also the bloated ghost which is why mom disappeared right before the attack. Ambiguity: Notice how dad goes up the elevator, this might be a representation of him ascending to heaven. He is going up the hospital rather than leaving the hospital on the final shot. Point of contention: If you watch the final frames slowly before the crash, Jade actually reaches Mia before going out of frame and the crash happens. Many believe Jade pushed Mia into traffic as this would be in character since she always came in clutch at the last minute to save her brother. Mia was realizing the ghosts were lying, but it was too late, Jade couldn't risk it. Lastly this was all a metaphor for addiction specially as a coping mechanism.

I swear I don't understand why EVERY yt American is soo sympathetic and have so much love for dogs specifically but every other single animal. YET as a group are the most calloused about EVERY OTHER RACE OF HUMAN BEINGS!!!? I swear I don't get it. Ibe heard a couple pretty good / scientific explanations but as a fellow member of the human race; I don't want to believe them. What's the deal?
