Suella Braverman was forced to cancel a speech at the University of Cambridge after pro-Palestinian protesters, led by the group Cambridge for Palestine, called for the event to be blocked. Braverman, the former Home Secretary, was set to speak to the Cambridge University Conservative Association (CUCA) about her political career.
Protesters opposed her policies on migration, policing, and protest, calling her views "far-right" and urging supporters to "no platform" her. Due to security concerns, CUCA and Braverman decided to postpone the event, unable to ensure safety for attendees.
Braverman condemned the protest as an attack on free speech, accusing the group of using "mob-rule tactics." She vowed to reschedule the event, stating that Conservatives would not be silenced.

She was advised not to attend by the police. If she had gone ahead and the nutters took action against her the police would have said ‘we told you so’. If she is so horrible why not allow her to speak and debate her to show how ‘evil’ she is?
