Talk's Mike Graham is joined by director of Free Speech Union, Toby Young, to discuss Suella Braverman's speech at Cambridge University being cancelled after police advised it was unsafe to do so.
As a response the former Home Secretary said the UK is in a crisis over free speech. On the issue Toby adds, "this government has done shocking things to attack free speech" but this is "by far the worst."

There's not one of them with enough intelligence to be in any position in parliament. Its quite shocking. Seems like they haven't thought about the consequences of the ridiculous policies. Anti business, anti common sense, anti free thinking, anti growth, certain economic disaster and loss of all social cohesion. One of the most pressing concerns right now is the crime rate. Its getting to be a free for all with no consequences for anything. I've never been so scared in all my life.

Surely this will encourage people to be offensive to staff or whoever to drive a string of complaints in establishments that someone has a problem with. Businesses could well be in court etc constantly going forward further overloading the ‘justice’ system as happened in Scotland. The government had best brace themselves for another sector of the economy/workforce collapsing. More dole claims, less tax receipts all around. Who’ll cover the shortfall then? Who’ll pay for the freeloaders? The race to the bottom is accelerating thanks to victimhood & the seesaw of receipt’s/debits has got to be nearing the tipping point now?
