(5:40) "fire benders make fire ..." the (first) live action movie did "address" this, and made it so that fire benders can only manipulate existing fire (well, most), which is one of the reason many people hated that adaptation. Fire benders are able control heat, and can thus turn air into super heated plasma, which causes things to burn.

A fun fact it's sorta believed that Monk Giyatso killed those firebenders surrounding him by sucking all the air out of the area suffocating all the fires and everyone there trying to protect others using a move like that was kind of outlawed by the airbenders

Fire is not a substance, but a reaction. Hence, firebenders can cause spontaneous combustion of the air around them. (I think the creators just realized how much of a handicap it would be to their villains to have to carry torches around everywhere in order to bend.)

almost all of your question will be answered the fandom of ATLA really doesn't spoil things you just have to go on this journey. but I will answer that one of the four air temples was basic just women and the last avatar dies then the next is immediately born Aang was told that he was the Avatar earlier then age 16 because the nations and air nomads believed Aang needed to be ready for what was to be the beginning of the war

@@hema72x yeah it's a lot of responsibilities for an adult person so I can't imagine how difficult it is for a child
