It worked on me. I read one of his short stories in a horror collection. When I find an author whose writing style I like, I seek out their other works as a safe bet. Read another of his that I liked and looked through more books by him. I saw that he wrote a book with Stephen and thought, “oh wow, that had to be so exciting to work with a legend of that genre.” I was so happy for him😂. I was reading a review and the reviewer mentioned Joe being Stephen’s son. That’s how I found out. So, his work spoke for itself to me. I really respect that.
