17:35 no. Its more like he has 3 chances to extract a shadow. If he fails those 3 attempts on someone, they can never be part of his army

10:41 Iron is using Taunt. As that was a skill Kim could use as an A-rank Tank. The bosses eyes turn red everytime he gets affected by the taunt and is forced to target Iron

16:29 Jinwoo probably doesn't intend anything dirty, therefore: «And?» He simply cares about her, but she probably, yes, - falls for it and likes him in a romantic way 💀 It's normal when young ones lose their heart for older ones. Happens regularly. Doesn't mean it's mutual.

Also to note, in anime they don't even look very different, they look similar age, same like in Game of Thrones there are girls of 14 years old played by 25 y.o. women. In this anime, the girl looks like 17, and Jinwoo like slightly over 20 probably, which doesn't seem weird. 18 + 21 couples happen regularly. (And they aren't a couple yet)

Epic! Also at 8:40, if you slow down this video, you see sung jinwoo kicking the sword behind him at Kim chul lol

jinwoo gets 3 tries on EVERY slain creature he tries to resurrect. for igris, he got it on the 3rd try (for a reason we'll see later on). for Baruka he missed all 3 tries, so that was it.

The skill the tank ( Iron ) used was to taunt, then followed by a sword skill dagger throw along with the skill he got from killing Igris (ruler touch) at the end where he disappeared was another skill called stealth.

11:20 it's probably a reference to a move in a lot of rpgs where a character roars and attracts the attention of the enemy so they attack him instead. thats why the elf's were turning red then targeting iron because that roar was enraging him
@eurussaphire7 күн бұрын
it's a good move to distract the enemy and make it swift its attention so you can sneak in counterattacks

I think the story is good, however its very action packed and it will take time to watch it develop. There are plenty of surprises and character development as time goes on and especially on the later end of the story. There are people out there that just think that there is no substance but i think they just hate action so much they refuse to see the nuance in between. Just my opinion though, hopefully the anime adaptation does a good job displaying it. One gripe i do have with the anime adaptation is that for whatever reason they've been minimizing his mental struggles through his journey, its a much larger focal point in the manhwa and LN. Whether its to save time or they think it might be too dark and depressing, im not sure, but it adds to jinwoos depth. Its there in the show, theyve just been showing tiny bits or outright skipping moments of his psychological development.

The anime adds a bunch of internal struggles that weren't in the manhwa such as the bathroom room scene this episode where he recounts the killing of Kim Chul
@fellow_otaku3498 күн бұрын
Ehh idk about that. They make his conflicting emotions about killing humans very apparent (s1 eps 6) and even more so with turning humans into shadow soldiers (in this eps, which I'm pretty sure was an anime original scene). And unlike in the manhwa, they make jinwoo climing the demon castle moreso about getting the elixir of life, rather than just a good place to level up, showing us he hasn't lost his caring side nor let his powers blindside him. I think this and some more additional changes I haven't mentioned do make Jin woo look more than just a 1 dimensional character without 0 struggles now that he can level up

@@BingusWeeb i agree the bathroom scene was new and a nice touch. i think the biggest problem i had was the serial killer dungeon in the first season and the entire ending was abbreviated and chopped up. when in the manhwa it shows a very vicious dark side growing in jinwoo and in how he handled the prisoners at the end. and in this episode there was supposed to be a subtle moment when jinwoo kicks the sword to kim because he wants to instigate him into attacking him in order to justify killing him. everything is moving fast and its weirdly implied but only the readers know thats how it went down, no anime only would figure that out just by watching (it doesnt show it in the episode, one second the sword is by jinwoo, the next its by kim). but a deliberate instigation from jinwoo then killing kim is very different than oh hey, kim is attacking jinwoo now hes going to respond accordingly. it shows his morals are becoming way more loose than what they portrayed in the episode. (im being nit-picky and i do very much like the show)
@BingusWeeb8 күн бұрын
@SwantonBomb43 yes it happens very fast so most won't catch but when Barca and jinwoo run at each other there are some frames of jinwoo pushing sword away in the anime. Definitely more subtle than the manhwa
@SwantonBomb437 күн бұрын
@@BingusWeeb ive tried watching it frame by frame and still cant make it out. i know when it happens but i just dont see it. either way, its not clear in the slightest that he pushed it over there and that it was intentional.

Jinwoo is so damn cold, this was such a cool episode I really really liked it. I can see the story developing with jinwoo and the other S-rank hunters who are also ridiculously cool but I do agree it is taking quite awhile to move the story along

each shadow extraction can be tried a max of 3 times before no longer being able to extract. the higher the level the hard to extract the longer the time since their death also makes the extraction harder

With every 'Arise' on fallen enemies, he gets three attempts. The more powerful they are, the more their soul resists to follow him. That's why the 'fodder' type enemies rise up in droves, while bosses like Igris and Barca (Ice Elf Boss) were more one on one attempts. Barca was just too strong for Jinwoo to make submit at his current level. They don't make this very clear in the anime so hope this makes his ability less confusing lol

Hey, what’s up, everyone? We're back with more of Peak Leveling Season 2, Episode 2! Before we dive into this episode, I just want to go over a couple of things from the comments on last week’s reaction. First thing: It turns out we actually saw Kim Chul back in Season 1. While he’s officially introduced in Season 2, he made a quick appearance as a background character in Episode 5 during that gym scene where Yunho was training. You might remember the E-Rank Hunter from Jinwoo's squad too-the guy Kim Chul rejected from joining his crew. Funny enough, it worked out for him since Kim Chul’s squad got wiped out by the ice elves, and he’s the only one left. Pretty crazy! It's cool seeing these little callbacks, like Kim Chul lifting weights while that other guy was on the punching bag. Second thing: I got so caught up in Jinwoo’s new title and the color change from blue to purple that I totally missed the part where he switched back to the Wolf Assassin title to handle the ice bears. Thanks for pointing that out! Alright, let’s get back to where we left off. Last time, Ygris totally wrecked the ice bear boss. I’m betting Jinwoo’s going to hit them with Arise and expand his army. At least, that’s what I’m thinking! We also saw Kim Chul running from the ice elves and caught a glimpse of the boss riding a horse at the end. I’m really excited to see how that fight with Jinwoo plays out! Now, let’s get into this episode: Arise? Yup, called it. That boss looks awesome with those flaming paws. I love how Jinwoo’s army keeps growing; it's always satisfying to see. Wait, so it’s three hours inside the gate but three days in the real world? Got it. Whoa, the truth... but not the whole truth… Yunho vs. Dong-Seo? Dang, things are getting intense. Poor Kim Chul though-his nails are seriously chipped. Hold up, Jin-Chul stopped both of them? Oh, they held back at the last second. Makes sense-an A-rank stopping two S-ranks would’ve been wild otherwise. And seriously, Kim Chul blaming others for his squad’s deaths? Dude, relax. He's kind of trash. Then, Son Jinwoo enters the scene. Kim Chul’s completely losing it, but Jinwoo’s got this. His aura’s just too strong to ignore, and the system effect lets him communicate. Still, Kim Chul’s spiraling out of control. And then, the boss fight... That boss is no joke-flaming bears and all. Jinwoo’s summons might not be immortal, but their regeneration is costing him mana. Even with Ygris, this battle is intense. But Jinwoo’s tactics are on point. As for Kim Chul? He’s turned into Iron-stronger in death than in life. His shadow form is wild. The visuals in this episode were amazing. Barker’s fight was epic. The dude’s dagger is insane, but Jinwoo wasn’t able to extract his shadow. It makes sense though, since he’s still under-leveled compared to Barker. At least he got the dagger, though-wonder what rank it is. The glitching during Jinwoo’s conversation with Barker? That was strange. Is it something with the system? Hopefully, it gets addressed later. Don’t forget: As we saw at the end of Season 1 when Jinwoo got his Shadow Monarch class, the success of Shadow Extraction depends on the difference in level between Jinwoo and the target, and also how much time has passed since the target’s death. Even though Jinwoo can try to extract as many shadows as he wants during battle, his Shadow Storage skill has a limited number of slots. Remember, he had to “free” some soldiers to store Igris, meaning he can’t just take over every enemy he encounters. Final thoughts: The action in this episode was on fire. A-1 Pictures totally nailed it. It’s a bummer Jinwoo couldn’t add Barker to his army, but his strength and tactical thinking are growing stronger, so that makes up for it. Thanks for watching, guys! See you in the next one!

And?
@bluntdivine7 күн бұрын
I don't want to read your comments to find out if someone already clarified, but I'll do it again just in case not: The 0/3 is the attempts per body. Any given dead body can be attempted to extract their shadow and add them to his collection. He tried 3 times on the Ice Elf and it failed all 3 times so he couldn't take him. He only gets 3 tries per corpse. Also, the young girl is now in love with him much like you and all other female viewers seem to be lol, and although he studied dungeons extensively(he was a dungeon nerd to make up for his lack of power so he knows about most monsters and items, and a loser and loner before he gained his power, remember?), he was a novice in dealing with people, and especially girls, so he is quite oblivious to the fact that this girl now has a crush on him and is acting like it, so his responses are sincere while Yoomin thinks he doesn't care she's young and knows how she is acting because it is obvious to him. But Sung Jinwoo is still a nerd and loser socially, just strong and confident now so it's hard to tell his ineptitude. He plays it off well for now.
