I absolutely adore Longines, and for my 25th birthday this February I bought myself the 40mm triple calendar chronograph with a black dial and roman numerals on the bracelet. By far the greatest complicated watch for the price, especially when you can find them for around $2k like I did brand new with a 2 year warranty. Column wheel chronograph with both 30 min and 12 hr registers, moonphase, pointer date with the day and month, and a sapphire case back to show it all off. Closest thing that compares is the $14k Breitling B25 Datora, which by the way is also based off the same movement as the Longines counterpart and has less features (no 24hr hand or 12 hr chrono).

Alright, you have a point. Longines is great, and highly accessible - BUT, what about Mido? Both are highly underrated brands, imo. At least in the US.

LOVE LONGINES! Just picked up a Heritage Military for 40% off RRP….great tribute to the RAF and so true to history. Longines need to more vintage inspired pieces. That new Salmon dial is gorgeous

Long overdue! Iv’e been requesting a salmon dial from Longines for some time with a 37 or 38mm. The new salmon and slate 38.5mm watches are for me. As of yesterday, I'm on the waiting list for these two watches. Last: You need to refrain from using the label “second rate” any person who owns any of the Longines watches knows they are first rate watches at affordable prices. Some people confuse higher prices with better quality watches which is a sales ploy for suckers.

Longines were in the top 7 (by turnover) of all Swiss watch brands last year and by far the most popular by units sold. It’s just because they aren’t big in the US there is a perception that they aren’t popular/loved, which is of course bias BS. I bought 2 this year, a Hydroconquest and a VHP GMT, both great watches. Nice to see there is more coverage of this legendary brand. Certina is another brand that fits into the same category of not popular in US, can’t be any good (in the eyes of Americans).

Love the salmon dial way better than the silver dial. I appears more legible and classy. The reverse is also good looking but the salmon dial has a better presence.

That is a beautiful watch, mind you I'm a Longines fan boy, got that from my dad he was always a Longines man. For Longine ETA movements are pretty much in house. My only concern about Longine finally getting the love they deserve is that prices are going to start rising. I agree with you about blued hands. There is something about a pair of high quality blued hands on a pale face, white, cream, silver, etc. The only issue I have with blued hands is that I find myself looking constantly at the watchface and get nothing done that day, lol

unfortunately the prices are already gone up massive.. For example i bought a Longines Flagship Heritage two years ago for 1500 euro. The same watch goes now for 1950 euro's.. Not normal.

Have a blue dial Presence on the bracelet that I usually wear to work. Super comfortable bracelet, the movement is decorated more than most other watches at the price point, and the sunburst dial is very nice. Longines, even their less popular offerings, are mostly great.

Pretty watch but I don't like how the sub-second dial pinches the 5 and cuts off the 7. It would've been better to leave the 5 and 7 off the dial completely.

Longines should be ashamed for what they offer compared with watches that they make about 40 years ago. This is the reason why people avoid this brand. If you want to buy a Longines buy a vintage.
