I like insane demons the most because it's the perfect balance of being very hard while still being somewhat accessible to a lot of people. Insane demons also tend to have some creative gameplay gimmicks, or at least their own identity.

In my opinion: Medium demon is my favourite difficulty (I'm a 60Hz player), the reason why is because I can at least beat them in one day, since I'm a pretty lazy player and I want to crush a level as fast as possible. I play at school during lunch, when I play a Hard Demon or harder than that, it takes way too much time and I just want to beat a hard level.
