I’ve used PSKR often and DXMaps occasionally to do this. PSKR is especially good for throwing out your own calls and seeing who hears you. Interesting to see someone bring all these sources together. I’ll be testing it out soon!

Now I'll have to get a small radio that can run WSPR 24/7 to work from JO97.

Sorry for my ignorance and probable dummy question! There is some kind of QRM map ? :) I mean, I think that it would be nice to have an idea on what bands are more problematic in terms of QRM. I never saw that kind of map .

How do we know when the propagation is good across the Atlantic?
@K0LWC9 ай бұрын
The map would show you where propagation is open by shading where you can be heard. You can also look at DX Maps band-by-bands for a quick glance.

Love these kinds of videos! Thanks for sharing. For some reason your audio was a little bit low compared to his when connected to the Bluetooth in my car, but I really enjoyed it overall.

It would be cool if we had a day/night delineator. Very cool tool. Thank you.

In my off-recording discussion John mentions that feature. I’ll bet it’s coming soon!

@@K0LWC It doesn't have as much info as the VOACAP site, but it's SOOOOOOOO much easier to use. So much more user-friendly. For a newb like me, it's epic. 73, KM8RTY

A nice tool, just a a bit confused. If looking at the yellow in 40 meters, there is a lighter and darker shade. Also, when hovering with a mouse, the words "sub band and digital" pop up. If I am working only side band, what am I primarily focusing on? Thank you.
@K0LWC Жыл бұрын
The shading will correspond to what mode is supported. It’s one of three choices. Digital, CW and SSB. Digital is the easiest and SSB has the highest bar. If the shading is showing SSB any of the three modes are supported. Click your star in your location and then look at each band. You’ll want to look for “SSB” in the shade outlines as you where you might be heard using sideband.

@@K0LWC Thanku so much. Is there a way to lock the star into position? The slightest touch on a phone and its gone😊. Thanks!!!

Thank you for the video, I love this map, This map was one of the first things I found when researching propagation information, when I was setting up my HF rig. Thank you NG0E. K2DEC 73
