Wind is the only magic that is able to dispell poison status effect. It's just the best option for people who don't want to be taking status effect damage. Builds that rely on status effects have a much harder time against Wind magic.

I'm a firm believer that wind imbue is pretty subpar (my friend made a wind conjurer and ditched it because the imbue damage is horrid) but wind mage (wind ice/snow mage) is easily the best build if not one of the best builds in the game. You have access to stuns, have huge size, and have very fast speed with wind. Even if wind does have low base damage you basically get free damage from stuns anyway, and the build's benefits even go as far as status effect clearing (clear soaked, poisoned, burning upon pressing your shift key).

yeah i think i acknowledged that in this video, and i also specified Mage. Wind Imbue currently doesnt have its main mechanic which is KB when it gets that it should be fine.

@@Selectorch I think it's mostly implied here, not specified. The viewer can always connect the dots though, if wind imbue doesn't have crazy synergies it should be obvious it's not going to be as great as proper wind mage builds. Shadow is probably king for general use still.

Not related to the video but lightning is such an interesting magic because of it's ability to work well with cold based and heat based magics. It also clears bleed so that's good. You could do a build with both sailor style and thermo fist and it would still work well since lightning doesn't decrease damage on either. I think that in the future Lightning and Plasma savant with Sailor and Thermo will be probably the drippiest half and half like blue and red type outfit, while still being strong. And lightning works well with plasma to boot. All around I love lightning and can't see myself ever using another magic for my savant build due to how many synergies it has and how well it works with both fire and water.

ive used lightning since the first wom open test and seeing other people form meta builds and overpowering combinations with every magic BUT lightning, i felt very inferior to every player with my lightning water mage. now as my third magic the only option that wont fuck my build up is ice. to me, lightning requires incredibly specific setups, and savant isnt something that i like to play.. sad world that us lightning mages live in

@@ingot51 For me having an inferior build to most players actually makes the game worth playing. I play savant, which is notoriously known in the community as not very good compared to the rest. Not many people would say this with their full chest but I like being inferior to someone in terms of base abilities so when I beat someone in a fight it means something. I hope savant stays in the position that it is currently in forever. If savant becomes meta I can’t see myself having fun with it. Same goes for lightning magic. There are better magics out there, but there are some things that lightning and savant can do that others cannot.

Wind is clearly a top tier magic, but it isnt the best. In fact, no magic is the best, as that will be unbalanced and you'll see 999 people in a row with the same magic. There is no best magics, all depend on what you use the magic for, for example the wind knockback doesnt affect bosses targeting. Good opinion, its a op magic but no magic is the best.

I generally use wind but I don't enjoy pvp, even in pvp I dont use anything which can cause freeze and whatnot, I like to use wind and explosion, since charred makes you deal more damage with wind.

No the arcanum items don’t give agility, and maybe, I doubt since it’s said when your picking your magic that you won’t be able to change it. Just change your build with undesirable magic to a build without magic like berseker
