I love mini twists as well, its my go to but i have to do it at the salon. My arms man 😫 lol. They usually braid at the root for me and use a butter or twisting gel (sometimes a wax but I've told them not to use that anymore) braiding as the root helps it to last longer also. I wash mine as well
