Amorphage's effect to destroy themselves don't activate. You can choose when you apply the effect (Tribute or destroy), you just can't leave your Standby Phase without applying it. So you can activate quick effects or other trigger effects during the Standby Phase before resolving the Amorphage

i tried to play 1spellbook of master/1 spellbook of fate, two briks but with one spellbook in hand + crowley or two in hand you get draw 2 + 3 spellcounters + 1 fate set with 3 spellbook spell in grave so you can banish one card during opponents turn.

In my experience, I laughed everytime someone played order and cried every time someone played anti spell. Just play anti spell.
