You did an excellent job of descaling, Doc, nice work. This time, however, you held the ultrasonic scaler at 90 degrees to the tooth enamel which will permanently pit the enamel and make tartar grow faster on it. It has to be parallel to the enamel with a slight angle but never head on at 90 degrees. Easy to do, but damages the teeth. It was painful to watch.

This is an ultrasound wand. My dentist has started using one. It does no damage by itself but teeth with gum and bone loss will loosen regardless of what is used. They will loosen if not cleaned also

@@vtvkkbyes usually it is from cigarettes. But I have seen these stains in a non smoker who drinks a lot of tea too. That's why I mentioned it. It might depend on other factors as well, like which kind of tea, with milk/sugar or not, what kind of brush/brushing technique/toothpaste is used, difference in acidity level in the mouth, tooth enamel intact, etc etc ..

Gigi juga Ada hitam-hitamnya dok, bermula karena ada masalah dengan keluarga terus aku ngambek seminggu gak ngapa-ngapain gak sikat gigi walhasil menghitam dok, walaupun setelah itu rajin sikat gigi sebelum tidur tapi tidak berkurang hitamnya, memang sebelumnya sudah ada masalah gigi berlubang namun tidak pernah ada plak hitam, menyesal tapi apalah daya sudah terlambat😢 biayanya mahal gak dok? Until very recently, my Dentist didn't know I was a smoker. It came out during a casual conversation while having my teeth cleaned. My Dentist's wife is a smoker, and he told me her teeth show very obvious sign that she smokes. He was amazed at how clean my teeth were. I understand that some people's saliva has a propensity to accumulate tartar on their teeth but, if you brush regularly, that should not be an issue. This is evidence of a very poor bucal hygiene.

Brushing teeth is unknown to a lot of men. I think they believe if they do anything to actually take care of themselves, it somehow speaks to their being macho & proving to the rest of the world they’re not homosexual….you know how putting any object even remotely phallic-shaped in one’s mouth can change one’s sexuality!!!! My brain just thinks of what they must’ve thought of their breath during lockdown when we all had to wear masks? How could he deal with the stank of all that?
