That is what the whole of VEGAS is like. It's why you see so many homeless people since they are all tourists who gambled and spent all their money and couldn't go home because they lost everything. It's a trick because people think they can win gambling in the casinos, yet they spend more than they would ever win on the holiday.
@realShadowKat2 жыл бұрын
I'll add a "to be fair" is in that sometimes you get the customers on expense accounts, high rollers who don't care, or people who are just too darn lazy to go to the gift shop and pay "only double the market price" for something. Minibar prices are ridiculous. There was a hotel in Australia (About US$350/night) that had a free minibar, stocked once per day. They know they're making enough on the room, a little refreshment isn't going to break them.

As I was making my way into the city I passed a hotel that was 20 minutes outside the city and was $35.00 a night. It was such a nice hotel and clean, everyone that work there was so sweet. I really enjoyed my stay there and learned a lesson as well. I'll always pick the cheaper smaller place then sone fancy suite in a fancy hotel. Coolest hotel I’ve ever been inside of is the Peabody hotel in Memphis tn.. in the main area as you walk in is a live piano player as well as a few little shops and history of the place and in the bathrooms that are in the main area they have towels that say “Peabody hotel” on them. Like those are the things you dry your hands off with and then throw in the trash.. I remember me, my wife, and my mom all went into the bathroom at similar times but my mom was upstairs on the second floor bathroom and we all three came out with one in our hands to show each other. Lol we all still have them to this day. And then there’s the signature duck march that they do at the beginning and end of the day. Super cool 10/10 would recommend.

That room is a lot nicer and cleaner. Its way smaller, but its still classy, plus its one of the big hotels that everyone knows, so if youre bringing a guest its more impressive. I'd definitely choose this room over the other one. The only complaint I have with this room is that at $200+ the minibar should be complimentary, even if that means removing some items, because the soda and water are like $1-2 each retail, mini-bottles a little more, and being charged extra doesnt feel very premium, you never want to tell your date/spouse/etc 'dont drink those, they are too expensive'

@@laurallewien2165 Yeah, just because if a review is comped or sponsored I always kinda keep that in the back of my mind, you know? If it wasn't comped or sponsored I'm floored that he actually paid for an $800 room just to do the review. Now that would be dedication! 😅

I don't think he gets the rooms for free. He doesn't really do sponsored content that much and when he does, he mentions it in the beginning. Now whether that is true with the hotels or not, I don't know but I would imagine he's being honest like with his product reviews.
@heatherangel97002 жыл бұрын
@@muazqamar Yes, that's one of the thins I like about his channel, is that he's very strict with paying for everything himself, or saying when he's reviewing something that was sent to him unsolicited. It's why I think he's one of the most trustworthy reviewers on social media. So I hope you're right, but I'm just having a hard time picturing him renting an $800 room just for a review. That could just be the broke a** in me talking though. And this is a new series, so there's always the possibility he's doing things a little differently. His channel has evolved. He used to always be sure to show the cleaning for kitchen products, but he doesn't do that anymore. Anyway, I don't necessarily thing there's anything wrong with it if he's doing comped rooms, I was just curious.
@__aceofspades2 жыл бұрын

@secretbeachhouse57212 жыл бұрын
The reason you are charged something as soon as it's lifted up in a minibar is because a lot of customers will do an impulse buy or consumption while they're in their room and then go out later and buy the same product at a cheaper price at CVS Pharmacy or some other store and replace it. So by having the sensors charge automatically when something is removed from the minibar this prevents that from happening.
