Gullholmen video was beautiful. The History, building ones house after outlining the perimeter with sticks, Johan's Cousin boat trip, just absolutely breathtaking views and experience. Thank you so much.

To the three of you, so inspirational, something I hope to emulate in a 40 foot motorboat coming up from the UK south coast in the next few years. When I do, your videos, which are excellent, will be a big reason why, thank you.

Oh, Ran. Sitting here in the middle of a midwest U.S. hotspot where as high as 25% to 40% of the people are now testing positive with politicians trying to tell us things are getting better, and . . .and . . .anxiety is so, so high. RAN in the archipelago is a breath of fresh air. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Unfortunately this has become more of a political 'disease' than an actual one, so I hope your politicians treat it as smoothly as Sweden did (after an initial problem with the elderly). Good luck and go see the CDC for actual numbers (~94% of the 200,000+ are NOT Covid-19) so that's where you can find good news, not the MSM.
@jlsinchina4 жыл бұрын
@@marclawyer2789 Exactly Marc. Sweden is the model for the world on how to handle Covid. Unfortunately many politicians here only wish the worst for the USA so use this as an excuse to control and regulate individuals - definitely unAmerican.

25 to 40% positive? sounds like the seasonal cold/flu season then, because unless you are 80+, or unhealthy, then covid IS like a bad cold

Hey Hey, from end of July till end half way September 2024, I enjoyed the Gothenburg Archipelago (until Fjällbacka) with my Trawler. The reason of my visit was because of all the pictures of sailors mooring along side rocks I saw on Insta. This Nordic mooring was something I wanted to check out myself, but I found out that the bow/hull of my 50ft trawler was too high from the water and since I did the trip all solo, it was difficult to manoeuvre the Lady and keep an eye on what was in front of the boat. But other than that, I only can say: what a beautiful scenery. Oh, and when I visited Malmö, the harbormaster noticed the KZbin logo on my hull and he then said "Doe you know that the Ran story all started in this marina?" We had a long chat that day.

It was neat to see the purple Heather. I named my daughter Heather after the heather plants that grow in Sweden and Denmark that my grandmothers’ missed so much when they came to America. What a spectacular area! Loved the drone shots of your mooring on the rocks!

Johan, Malin, The more we see of your Sweden tour, the more we'd like to pay your home waters a visit. The history of Gullholmen "building permit process" had me laughing at its simplicity -- "just lay out the branches, and if nobody complains, OK to build after two weeks." Gullholmen generally reminds me of towns on Nantucket (whaling more than herring in its 19th century heyday) or Martha's Vineyard. Sooo quaint. Much appreciated -- thank you! Blessings on you all, S/V Windwalker

Wow, that was a gorgeous video but difficult to watch. My childhood paradise. Used to spend summers in these waters, sailing down from Oslo. A few weeks ago we emptied the boat for all our belongings and unless someone wants to buy it and restore it, the recycling plant is next up. 35 years of wonderful memories.

Visited the area i July this year. Sailed up from Halmstad where I live. This is an amazing area of the westcoast of Sweden. So packed with history also. I choosed the wrong month to visit so it seems. July was like 16 dgr in the water and 13 dgr in the air at night. So don't let the beautiful images fool you. This place can be, as Johan stated, fierce. Thanks for all great stuff you produce from a long time follower. Keep safe.

When you plan your next world cruise make sure that you arrive in Cape Town during the autumn/ winter months so that you can enjoy the Cape Floral Kingdom with it's many types of heida or Ericas also known as heath. Erica species have many colours from pink, white, purple, green, yellow, orange and red, and are found in many different forms, sizes and habitats. You will find most of them in the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
