We were deeply opposed to the behavior we witnessed, particularly from tourists, who were touching turtles and taking photos with them. In some instances, people even attempted to sit on the turtles for photos, which is absolutely outrageous. Adding to the problem, some locals encouraged this by selling seaweed and other food to attract the turtles for tourists. It would be amazing to see these stunning creatures flourish in their natural habitat, supported by strict action from local authorities to protect them.

Local rangers should prevent tourists from touching the turtles and stop locals from selling seaweed to feed them.

The worst part was that there was a police station less than 200 meters from where this was happening 😭

Yep I agree they should be let alone, don't touch em, however on the flip side the turtles are one of the strongest species that could withstand all of this...wildlife conservationists should be patrolling these beaches.
