I built one similar about nine years ago because i have a bad back and old knees. Mine doubles as a privacy fence for part of my front yard. So it is taller on the back side. Your finishes have inspired me to do the yearly maintenance of the wood and add some stationary lights to the post tops. It has held up well. Your work is outstanding. You should make kits and sell them. What you did is a very sophisticated design and can be easily organized into a slide together kit. Id buy one for the side courtyard i am building. If nothing else sell the cut pattern. WONDERFUL SMART PROJECT The round planter is what i have been looking for thank you for those easy to follow instructions. So glad i found your channel. ❤ may you and shrimp stay blessed. Oh: i used bales of straw to fill the bottom of the deep planter beds . That way i did not need to buy so much soil. Bales take up a lot of space and are less expensive. The blueberry bushes i planted didn’t even need much soil they took off. By year two the bushes were loaded. Your whole video presentation is fabulous. You are smart engaging and your sense of humor is extremely entertaining. You made my day. 😊🙏🏾

The is phenomenal!!! This is something I wanted to do for my own yard, but the back higher for the tomato's to grow up, or a green house look -- haven't made my mind up on that just yet. Also I didn't think to add more planters in the center cause I was thinking I would need more space to enjoy and move around. Though your center barrels gave me the idea to, instead of using them for more planting, use the area to put either a IBC steel pallet tank, or 55 gal drum with a pump to use for watering. Though I am in an area where I would need to save the water, you on the other hand...probably not.

Omg I love it ❤ it looks so nice. I need a partner that is creative like you. I would love to build things with someone bc doing it by myself often feels overwhelming. the only time I built something was my hanging bed 😂 you could’ve filled the bottom of the beds with branches and leaves, so you don’t need to fill it completely up with soil and sand. just a suggestion in case you’re building another bed in the future. you can also put mulch on the soil so it doesn’t dry out so fast. and the best biological fertilizer is wormhumus. I use it for my indoor and outside plants.
@heathercarver80203 ай бұрын
For clarification, you used pine pickets on the outside, and cedar on the inside, where it would be against the soil? Would you mind explaining why not use cedar for the outside?
@TheNavagePatch3 ай бұрын
Correct. For two reasons: the pine is cheaper and it’s thicker than the cedar. 🙌

Thank you! I worked in finance as a young man. Then I worked in the wine industry in SF. Then I moved overseas with the 🦐 and worked in construction safety. I’m self-taught with all this! The main plants are one foot apart with herbs planted in between. 🙌

Have to be careful with the pressure-treated wood, and the stain leaching into the soil into your plants. The chemicals they used to pressure treate sometimes can leach into the soil.

I live in sw KS where the wind is constant and occasionally have tornadoes and tornado like winds. I also have a garden my dog enjoys jumping on, stealing tomatoes as ball replacements, and I’d like to separate the garden, I want a short fence without having it permanent. I want cedar 4x4’s with hogwire panels to resist wind, do these fence repair brackets hold well with strong winds since you’ve built your garden?
