Intentionally whiffing the super fireball and then shoving you into it is so in-character for Dan.

When Dan puts you in a corner he's one of the most dangerous characters. Suddenly he's no joke.

Yeah, but beyond that his whiff punishing is always terrifying running that setup. He hits you with any normal? That's a conversion into his VT 1. Any normal. He can convert from standing LK, into VT 1 and directly into super if your hit confirms are that on point. So he gets that and the frame traps in the corner without having to run VT 2 (which is crazy frame trap wise, but the execution also requires a lot of fine motor skills). I always run 1/1 since I don't wanna play 400 hours a week, but in the hands of a really technical devoted player - Dan is crazy.

@@taelin-rh3wi I got a CC sweep into v-trigger full hold in a real match but then my opponent just ex dp'd it. So I was like there has to be something better so I started labbing what I could do after CC sweep/No Rise then I did dp by accident and saw that it went to the other side and was plus. Then I tried jab before the dp and its unseeable but punishable if blocked. Then I just kept practicing it til it was second nature.

They should add it to where his super combo taunt cant be cancelled into his normal super art if he returns in street fighter fighter 6. He should also get balance around his moves and taunts so that he cant infinite and uses his taunts for his combos. I think that adds to the humor of him being a joke character but he has an actually good moveset that just requires you to rework everything you know about street fighter.
