I personally loved this grind. Haven't found a game that's really like this except in a totally different genre which is fps and in trash games like Destiny.

But why holding a second level 7 ain’t shit especially since there are barely any gameplay challenges that warrant it’s use. Levels 7s are basically a cosmetic time save.

Players from the community revived it. There are several fan-run versions now. The two most notable ones are Toontown Rewritten and Toontown Corporate Clash. Toontown rewritten's developers are more conservative with how they revived the game. They try to keep true to the original game content to maintain a nostalgic feel for players while also occasionally adding new content to expand the game and quality of life updates to improve the game. Toontown Corporate Clash is more of a complete revision of the game. They aren't really afraid to change any aspect of the game and some might say it feels more like a Toontown 2 than a revival of the original Toontown Online. Both are free to play. Hope this helps.
