They clearly mocked the German music genre "Schlager", the lyrics didn't fit at all to the cheesy music , chessy acting and thing im "build up"-part. Look for Wendler, a german schlager star , with his song "Egal" (but remember that is really German schlager, you've been warned) and you get some references in this video.
