I own two of these lenses. Great rendering and color, last generation if I have it right. The only down side is the lack of close focus.

Well speaking, the Jupiter 8 have 17 variants. I will share with you all the just said information. Michael Russo, you are right, the down side of this lens is the minimum focusing distance.

hi, I can't attached this Jupiter 50mm f/2 to my Canon 7 film camera. Do you know why?

maybe need m42 to canon rf mount adapter.

Your Canon 7 film camera uses L39 mount and this lens have the same mount size. Have you inspected the tread of your lens? There is one more hypothesis, did your camera came with the 50mm 0.95 lens? In this case this lens uses a special bayonet mount for the 50mm 0.95 lens.
