Excellent to have you back, and to see the Green Goblin kind of running again! And yeah, I get the stubborn devotion to a bike that keeps having issues. My own 2003 Sporty has had many electrical issues in the 5 years I've owned it, and some fueling annoyances as well (the accident a month and a half ago wasn't the bike's fault, though, and thank god I had crash protection when that SUV tried to run me over!). But given that the story behind my bike is so unique (long story), it's definitely my Forever Bike. Thankfully my bike hasn't been out of commission as long as the Green Goblin, but with it being my only bike (and me recovering from minor injury), I haven't ridden at all since the crash. So between all that and the start of too-cold weather up here in the North, I'm definitely fighting the self doubt and fear for getting back on the road. Hopefully I'll get a decent day or two after my local shop finishes up with the repairs so that I can get back out there.

Words From An Old Man: Chey, Try your hardest to be confident in who you are. You are enough - you are beautiful. I love that you are wearing so much at 70 degrees and consider that crisp. I live in Alaska, and we consider 70 degrees t-shirt riding weather. In the winter when there is snow and ice I just move from my bike to my trike and ride all winter. Believe it or not I have ridden at minus 25 degrees in a near white out. Fortunately, it doesn't get that cold very often, but we do get a lot of single digit and subzero weather. Thank goodness for heated gear. Love your channel.

Great working fixing up Willem Dafoe there Cheyleesi.. super proud of you.. I'm dang near giving up on ever owning a bike never mind a Harley.. as much as I love Harleys, I guess I was just born in the wrong country.. and with the way conditions are with my little family, I doubt I'd ever have enough to own one.. haven't owned a bike in over 10 years.. You and Josh are great to watch.. i follow you guys no matter what.. cos just watching your videos make me feel good.. you, Josh, Jess, Blockhead, "unca Weems".. I think I watch you guys I cant ride so watching you makes me feel as if I'm "riding vicariously through all of you" (for lack of a better description).. Maybe I should just give up.. maybe one day in like, a hundred years I'd be able to own a bike again and take care of my family.. maybe I'll just die right there if I ever own a Harley, (just looking at it standing there finally and like get a heart attack and die).. maybe it not written in the stars for me to have that sense of tranquility ever again.. whatever.. who cares.. maybe it's the universe screwing me cos of all the bad sh@t I did in the past.. whatever it is.. its crap.. being a biker without a bike just sucks.. And that's why Im super happy to see you on the Spiritster again.. please think of me when you take to the road again.. that freedom.. the tranquility. The escape from lifes trials with every revolution of the wheels.. the way that engine freezes time..

Chey, thank you for introducing us to your daughter, teaching her, how to ride a motorbike. Does she do croplifting with you too, as you bravely invited us to do it with you, in a video. Before she died, my Mum and I did a similar “gentle crime” nearly inviting Aunty Audrey, to be “in on it” too, as we Limeys say, doing “law of salvage” where we Limeys steal something on the ground, or rob second hand clothes banks. I nearly took her shoplifting too, but she was afraid of the store detective, so we stuck to doing law of salvage, and wearing the stockings, in our pretend Hells Angel gang, because Mum was in the Air Force. Then I joined Aunty Jean and cousin Sarah’s Hells Angel chapter, doing the same thing or robbing second hand clothes again. Mum has sadly died now, so I only do it, if it is worth it now, my law of salvaging, clothes and food. The point I am making is, crime should be about doing “gentle crimes” like what Chey and I do, and not hurting anybody. So may all would be Hells Angels, be brother and sister bikers, on this channel.

The only problem with The Green Goblin is TO MANY PARTS! Safety covers pffff who needs em? All those wires, just excess. Handlebars don't really need switches and buttons. Sportsters don't really need horns and speedometers. Those are just there because of government propaganda. If it's not there, it can't break. Like the hippies say " you gotta simplify man". There it is stoner wisdom.
