This was the most nostalgic COD for me. I lived in the country and didn’t have internet, but we lived about an hour away from my Aunt and cousin that was 2 years older than me. Every Friday I would beg my mom to take me to my cousins house so we could play Black Ops multiplayer split screen. We’d stay up all night and my cool aunt would order us pizza. Sometimes when my mom wouldn’t take me I’d use the landline and beg my aunt to come pick me up. Eventually after mw3 released my mom broke and got internet installed so I could play online with my cousin. I guess she got tired of driving me every weekend. I’d still go over there a lot because nothing beats the split screen experience, but man was it good times. Nothing to worry about except school, football and video games. My cousin took his life 2 years ago after a period of drug use and a bad breakup and man it broke me. My aunt hid it from us out of shame and it almost destroyed me. For a while I thought about the what if’s, if I just could have sat down with him and played some black ops zombies with him and talked.

Good ol' BO1 where there was no complete stealth build. You were nervous about placing a motion sensor because of Ghost at 6:55 but it's actually Hacker Pro that makes you invisible to motion sensors, not Ghost. Either get seen on motion sensor, or "get heard by footsteps" (which wasn't really a problem in BO1, but you know..).

I loved the m16 in black ops 1, which took me forever to actually try using it, but once I did, I instantly fell in love with the acog, dual mag. Suppressor for search and destroy. The m16 sounded so pure in bo1 both suppressed and unsuppressed. Absolutely make me want to get back on the older games again!

Masterkey was super underrated in Black Ops, and M16 is the perfect match for it. M16 with Masterkey is by far my favorite weapon in this game

I returned to this game in 2012 after getting enough of BO2, and COD Ghost was just awful. I played only private matches (custom) sniping for a solid three years until the end of 2015, even though I had a PS4. I'm sure I played less than 20 games online find match. It was only custom snipers. I had more than 200 friends, and any time I played, I could find custom matches for S&D or free for all, or whatever mode it was. Also, there were several websites for sniper clans in our Arab community and we can request friendly challenges against other clans or we wait until we have a new tournament. Most of the time, I was playing competitively with my clan, and we participated in local tournaments. We were beasts. The awards weren't that good; it was like a $20 store card for each player who participated in the tournament for the winning team, and I think $10 for the second team (10 players each team playing 6v6 S&D best of 4, and we could substitute players between rounds). To be honest, it was the best days I've had so far. I met a player in 2014, and we played together after school all the time. After 2015, we lost contact, but in 2017, we met at university accidentally. Then we moved to another university because we didn't get into medical school. After two years, we specialized in medicine, and now we are best friends. 😅😅😅😅

gaming connects ❤ i still remember one time where i searched for new players to play with in an online forum, someone messaged me so we meet up the next day to play together. it was quite late in the evening when they joined my party, i expected a guy but it actually ended up being a girl. no problem with that i was just surprised. we ended up not playing a single game that night and just spoke for 8 freaking hours .. and it turned out that she was actually cracked at cod aswell :D miss her / those times, would love to know where some are now.

You must not have played BO1 in its prime. This was one of the least competitive M16's. The G11 made it obsolete. It was more accurate while bursting faster.

You can only hide from the Motion Sensor in this game with Hacker Pro. People will still show up if they have Ghost Pro.

This is literally the best gun in the game. Dual Mag, Suppressor. Iron Sights Only. You just need to be able to aim and hit headshots.
