2:17 "F*ck Off" would actually be the perfect name for a retail store selling doujinshi & R-18 goods lmao, someone pitch that idea to the folks who own the "_____ Off" stores.

"Where'd you buy that one classic doujin? The art was really good." (in a bright cheery tone) "Oh, from F*ck Off!"

These highlights have been great for planning my Japan trip. The one thing that I absolutely want to do is bike the Shimanami Kaido, but I've been using your guys' advice to add things to do besides that!

Bro, no... Gamecube is not retro, right? It's only... 20 years old.

It's ok, just learn to accept it. I did when people started calling the Megadrive retro. 20 years is definitely enough time to become retro.

I hope I'm not the only one who thinks of Yakuza when they hear about karaoke. It's such a memorable part of that franchise

My friend and I always enjoyed going to Guts' Soul when we were in the Tokyo area. It's a chain of yakiniku restaurants and they offer tabehoudai and nomihoudai. Only thing I wouldn't do again is do that on the night before we flew back. Both of us were incredibly hung over while boarding the plane...

Hitachino has a nice Distillery and decent food at the edge of Akihabara. Also you can fing Yushakobo a very nice mechanical keyboard shop there.

Nomihoudai and karaoke are fun as hell! Just make sure you're not staying at a capsule hotel that night since they have early check out times. They will provide extra towls if you puke in the capsule though.

basically, imagine an open bar where you have a stage at the back with a mic. Like the bar in yakuza but 3 times bigger.

Almost all of the Karaoke I've done (America) has been in a private room, but I did go to a tiki bar once where there was an open floor and the karaoke was done in front of everyone in the bar.

I’ve been to Japan twice when I was younger and loved it! I’m in my 20’s now but have a few visible tattoos such as a sleeve with fingers. Will this be too much of an issue nowadays? It’s got me a bit worried but I love the country too much to just not go again

From my understanding that tattoos are becoming more popular with the youth but there are still some stereotypes and you can't use bathhouses

Yea some bath houses have a no tattoo policy but a foreigner with a sleeve is quite common place nowadays that outside of that you'll have no issues elsewhere
