check out the early black Friday deals over at panda podium before its gone: www.pandapodium.cc/product/bundle-1-quick-pro-ar-one/?ref=1679 These frames are getting better and better and we are pretty much getting to a point where the differences are so minimal from the major brands and the prices are still very competitive to what you would pay for a major brand as well. Really pleased with the overall quality and frame and can not wait to get the final build on this thing.

Na you got it twisted Patty, this saddle clamp is far better than the single bolt one which is known for slipping when you hit the nose or tail. I had that problem ony Winspace and Tavelo frames if I landed too heavily on the saddle nose. I have this style clamp on my CAAD and now the Quick frame and zero creaking. I think that was a dengfu problem, nothing to do with this style of clamp.

As Patty said, this bike is “very Chinese” Based on Joe’s video, I bet this rides harshhhhh and as you already know, fast bikes don’t need to feel harsh and transmit every single road buzz to be fast. Orbea Orca Aero I rode (latest gen.) rides really smoothly. I bet Tarmac SL8 also rides smooth. But smooth doesn’t mean slow and sluggish. It’s some weird ahh carbon layup magic 🪄
@benhardwick1970Ай бұрын
I’ve got a winspace T1550 gen 2 with magene wheels. I don’t feel it’s overly harsh even with carbon spikes but I am running 32mm tyres. My TCR has 28mm with DT Swiss wheels and it’s maybe a fraction more comfy but nothing really noticeable. I feel running wider tyres makes more difference than anything else

The ones actually developed in wind tunnels are usually if the brand has its own wind tunnel (spesh, ridley) or they partner with someone who has one (swiss side)

But for the love of Marco Pantani let’s take a rest on the parade of Chinese frames and wheels, bars etc ad infinitum . Just because Panda Joe sends you a bunch of free crap from Xiamen, doesn’t mean you have just regurgitate his, Torques, Hambini, Trace Velo, and probably a hundred, no maybe a thousand other guys doing the same thing. Earlier this week I talked a buddy into getting this frame, and for a total of $3800, got this frame, tavelo bar/stem, Sram red mini groupset ($1K), sram force cassette, chain, bottom bracket, and rival crank with powermeter (for a few extra hundred he could have upgraded to a carbon crank, but he was at his budget cap), pretty much everything with a new bike minus wheels/tires/saddle. We expect the bike to be about 15 pounds and a great race bike. On Thursday I talked my buddy into returning his new $4200 Trek Emonda SL6 (Sram rival with aluminum bar and stem) and use the 30 day money back guarantee to build out this bike. There was a 10% restocking fee, so for $3800 he got this frame, Tavelo bar/stem, Sram red mini groupset ($1K), sram force cassette 11-28 ($115), Sram Rival crank with power meter and 1 by 54T chainring (I forget how much that was), proper Bottom bracket. He already had pedals, bottle cages, Nice new wheels, and saddle. Funny, my buddy that is about 1 year into racing just bought his new "road race bike" It was a 2023 Emonda SL6 with sram rival, aluminum non-aero handle bar for $4200. It weighs 20 pounds. (He already has a Rim brake Giant TCR, and a disc brake Trek Domane, so this emonda was sold to him as a great crit bike. I asked if he was interested in seeing what he could build for that price point (and use the Trek 30 day return policy). He said no thanks. Next day he takes his new emonda for a ride, feels very underwhelmed, and immediately calls me to see what is in the realm of the possible. After a quick chat and sending him some links on things on sale. The final result is that he returned the emonda (got $3800 back due to the 10% restocking fee) and Purchased the Quick Pro AR: One. For $3800 he got the frame, tavelo bars, Sram Red mini groupsets ($1K), Sram Force 11-28 cassette, Sram Rival crank with power meter, Bottom bracket. He had already purchased wheels separately that he had planned on using for an upgrade to his new emonda, so that is not part of the $3800 cost. So for the same money we got a bike that is probably going to be 15 pounds vice 20 pounds, will be more aero and proabably WAY more responsive, but maybe less foregiving over hard bumps, but IT IS A RACE BIKE. If he had done this from the start and had an extra $400, he could have gotten an carbon crankset with power meter.
@GCPerformance18Ай бұрын
thats nice,, yea you can get a really nice value bike that performs amazing right now, with components the rider wants and hand picks to there liking instead of buying a stock bike with stock parts that need to be swapped for fit and also performance

I talked him into returning his newly bought emonda SL6 that was $4200 with sram rival and 20 pounds, to do the build mentioned above.

@galenkehler29 күн бұрын
@GCPerformance18 the short head tubes effectively reduce the reach, in comparison to other bikes. If you keep everything exactly the same, but just reduce the head tube, every centimeter of head tube that is removed increases the reach by 3mm. That's why the really big endurance bikes with 210-230mm head tubes fit so big.
