This is The Philippines in 2024! Progressive and Very Modern Country 🇵🇭

You have people say it over and over again that the Philippines is a poor country, and thus we shouldn’t expect to have the things that richer countries have. Like good health care, such as that of Canada or better transportation, such as that of Japan.
However, the discourse of us being a poor country is incomplete and inaccurate at best and dangerous at worst, for a number of reasons. First, saying that the Philippines is a poor country runs against our heritage of wealth and richness.
From the abundance of the West Philippine Sea to our wealth of human capital, the Philippines - the world’s 27th largest economy today - has held so much richness, but we have not benefited from it.
The Philippines is rich in natural resources. It has fertile, arable lands, diverse flora and fauna, extensive coastlines, and rich mineral deposits. ... Despite the rich natural resources of the Philippines, the government is restricting its exploitation.

And what the western media show is the pockets of slums in manila but slums in manila is just pockets!! Maybe 2percent of manila not all of manila is slum area as what the western media is trying to portray manila!! Metro manila is comprise of 16cities one one municipalities!! I've seen most of south east asia and all except Singapore has slum areas!! But western media don't show the slums of thailand!! Vietnam!! Indonesia!! Malaysia has slums also!! It's only the phil slum that western media shows!! There are 16 downtowns and financial districts in metro manila but have you seen them been shown by western media?? Like these one for example!! Bgc is example for how the city is done! Isang malaking sampal sa public government natin na hindi nila nagagawa, underground cabling, well maitained ang cleanliness, no vandals, no loitering, high quality ang streets...Yan ang di nagagawa ng mga LGU and other government agencies..ang alam lang puro collect ng collect ng mga taxes sa private sectors mga projects nman nila ang papangit at low quality...

They should take the taxes from these condos and businesses to improve the slummy areas of Metro Manila, like the revenue from the casinos. The problem is the mayors just pocket the taxes instead of using it to develop their respective cities.

Hindi naman ganyan kaganda kung walang tulong at supurta ng Gobyerno at ng mga public officials. Kasi ang Gobyerno nagbibigay aprobal sa mga private sector and business Man na magpatayo at gumawa at magpatayo ng mga buildings and businesses. Hindi sila makakapagpapatayo ng ganyang kagagandang at katatayog na mga building kung hindi sila pinayagan at hindi binigyan ng mga permit na galing sa Gobyerno. Sa panahon ngayon eligal magpatayo ng building ng wala kang kaukulang kompletong documents and permeso galing Gobyerno kahit ikaw pa nagmamay-ari ng kalupaan. Kaya pasalamat parin tayo sa mga Public officials kahit papaano at hindi Lang sa mga nagmamamay-ari ng mga buildings na mga iyan dahil lahat sila nagkaisa para maisakatuparan ang napakagandang Siyodad diyan sa Metro Manila.

Ito maraming hindi alam,ang BGC ay under yan sa BCDA, Bases Convention Development Authority.. Ibig sabihin isa ang Government sa nagpatakbo o owner sa project na yan. Ang BGC ay ang isang magandang example sa Government and Private sector project na nagtagumpay. Katulad din yan sa New Clark City, Clark Global City at Subic..

BGC is the reason why the Goverment is creating a new Capital City. Clark right now dahil sa success ng BGC. Hopefully ang City planning ng new capital at new busniess district well create a new capital for the Philippines.

Correct.....yong Phil marines headquarter ay ongoing ang construction ng 28 Billion new military camp sa Bataan by (3) years baka lilipat na sila leaving sa space nila yong 12.46 hectares. Yong Ascom naman ng Army na almost 18 hectares at malapit din sa marines ay kasalukuyang naglilipat sa Camp Aquino Tarlac at yong Navy base south point BGC na malapit sa new senate building na 25 hectares ay lilipat din sa Cavite...malaki pa ang extension dyan .

It looks great. The city is modern, with tall buildings, clean, neat and tidy streets, no traffic jams, and there doesn't seem to be any noise or smoke pollution. However, I'm from Thailand, and I'm afraid it will be hard to find food. Gourmet food is probably hard to find and expensive. This is just my personal opinion.

Im filipino, this is actually an expensive place with an expensive restaurants. The only chesper foods in bgc are local fastfoods like jollibee, mang inasal, chowking,greenwich,etc. Theres no streetfoods. It is restricted and no carenderia our affordable filipino restaurant for average people.thats so sad.

You can do the same in most places. Go to Tagaytay Hilands, Greenfield developments in Nuvali, South Forbes in Silang, Ayala by City of Dreams, Glorietta in Makati or Ayla One, Robinsons in Cebu, Megaworld in Iloilo, it's all the same. However it all lacks the authentic beauty of Taal lake, tropical paradise, underground caves, that the countryside has to offer. If we want all this contemporary blandness, just go to Singapore.

Former president Fidel Ramos should be given recognition by naming one of the streets to him because he initiated the privatisation of camp Bonifacio. Without him, it would still be an old military camp. He also was instrumental in land Reclamation of Manila bay in which many buildings like MOA and many beautiful structures are now established. It is not a city. It is a small district in Taguig city. Furthermore, bgc is only 2% of metro Manila land area. The 98% is mostly an unappealing sight. If you want tourists to see our unique culture, like ugly and dilapidated squatters scattered everywhere, beggar children asking for money, homeless and sketchy people, spaghetti wires, garbage infested and dirty rivers and esteros, chaotic traffic, street vendors and blocked sidewalks, then invite them to metro Manila, they will have a blast and Love Philippines. Very sad.
