Hi Ro, Just a quick note regarding the bathroom floors: technically, they should not be on the same level as the rest of the space. Ideally, they should be slightly lower to prevent water from flooding into other areas.

Ro, everything is fine. I live in the USA and my home was built in 1983. It has a 1/2 bathroom in the kitchen area. It is so convienant when you are cooking. Also, people working in the yard don't have to go through the whole house, just a few steps to the washroom.

Their little place looks like a garage. It looks like a Granny flat that what we have here in the US We have garages that the city allows us to turn it into a studio or a one bedroom, apartment or house . I personally feel that Marwa doesn't know what he' be talking about, especially when. It comes to the way we do things here i the West Hemisphere as far as contractors are concerned.

Ro, you can just shave an inch or so from bottom of bathroom door so floor doesn't need changed. Also add a floor drain and pitch floor so water doesn't come outside of bathroom!

I was also thinking around winter. I guess the will put some central heating or heated floor. We will see.

@@gaudenciamunemo1447 Even with central heating the walls and ceiling will not be able to keep the interior warm and the heating costs will be be very high. The concept is no different than a person wearing a jacket in the winter - the jacket doesn't keep you warm, it prevents your body heat from escaping. Hope they fix this.

@babajao l live in a very cold Country. So in winter we put the heating on and we do not wear any jackets indoors. Just a cardigan only because of the insulation and central heating or the oil heating. We wait and see their decision.

Plaster for outside use must be waterproof, moisture-resistant and extra strong. It is a fun experiment to test whether the plaster intended for inside use has these properties.

Hello Family, It is a nice studio. Near the kitchen area it might be nice to have a partition wall at the bathroom entry door and the stove area, if the space allows. You can put cabinet at the floor level or that new wall space
