Hi Yves, If you read this comment, I’ m Mac. I stay in SA, Cape Town. Maybe we will meet there one day. Just a friendly advice be careful once you reach SA. Hello Yves. This is the first video I've seen you suffer. A little bit tired, a little bit isolated, a little bit anxious. You are not alone Mon Ami. We are eagerly watching your marathon trek through Africa and changing mental images one video at a time. You have come so far. Your fantastic adventure continues. Here, on the autumnal wet, West Coast of Ireland, your rich blue skies are a sight to behold. Keep safe. When the locals are telling you it's dangerous . . . It's dangerous! Local knowledge is everything. Thank you for sharing your journey. Stay strong.

@@cecilysharrock678 Agreed, we were never a colonial country so we never got any developments from the British like our neighbours did. We were a British protectorate and gained independence in 1966. Diamonds were discovered in 1967 and we used them to build this nation by ourselves into one of the best countries to live in Africa today. Tourism has played a major role in our development being one of the few countries that allow wildlife to roam freely as you have seen in Yves's videos

Hello Mr Yves. Here is some advice to you , to help feel better on your bike. After you come to your final destination Cape Town< you should do some upgrades for your bike. Trust me it will help you a lot. 1. Change tires for semi-slick. Because your way back by western side of Africa faces more worst roads. It will rise your overall ground clearance and reduce bumpiness feel. 2. You should change your rear shcok. You need shock with pedal platform adjusmtent. You are lose so much energy when you are pedaling and your suspension is bobbing. Suggesting to you for front 20 inch Schwalbe marathon 365 or G-one speed, rear one is Schwalbe Hurricane.
@tonytony25492 ай бұрын
This is very good advice. I watched Icthy Boots videos for West Africa and some of their roads are in a very bad shape.
@KinoYves2 ай бұрын
Thank for the advice, man.
@xmateinc2 ай бұрын
I suggest schwalbe Pick Ups front and rear. I got 4k miles with zero punctures so far. G-one is good for tubeless set ups, but with a tube, it’s not very good. Marathon 365 is okay, Marathon Plus Tour Guard is a bit better.

the South african guy, said he was tswana , it confuses a lot of people but it doesn't necessarily mean he is a citizen of Botswana. there are actually more tswana people in South Africa than Botswana ,almost 5x. current tswana tribes moved from South Africa to Botswana because of wars and chieftainship succession disagreements. Some famlies between the two borders still keep close ties even over 8 generations.
