ngl I won't be surprised if it gets fixed to close that 1sec window, cuz it seems unintended af. What's the point of releasing a new bison with a passive very similar of old bison, with the clear intent to be an upgraded bison from scam tickets ... and make a glaring weakness in the middle of it.

Not a bug but then just a mistake. Because I can't imagine they developed him with a 1 sec window intentionally. That's too oddly specific and doesn't match OG Bison's mechanic which I would assume is what they were going for.

I think they have done it deliberately as if the invincibility was supposed to last the entire duration then there wouldn’t be the need to specify it was a 3 second trigger (if you look at og bison he doesn’t have a trigger cooldown, but his trigger also doesn’t cause as much damage) You need to remember that this bison on that trigger is double the dmg of og on his trigger and he is also putting the enemy into a state they are taking more dmg and to top it off he is boosting his own attack. If it turns out it’s not by design (which I think it is) then his passive description is wrong anyway and they would have to actively boost the length of time that can’t drop below 1% lasts. At present he actually does match how his passive is written so it would be rather odd for something to do what it says it’s supposed to do and for it to turn out to be a bug. It’s really important to note the ALSO in the description because they have been pretty clear it’s a 2 step passive

The 3 sec trigger is so that Bison doesn't drop an insane amount of goop on the floor, no? Because his goop summon animation isn't long, from what I see it ends before the 3 sec. And if its because the first goop is still on the screen then that doesn't make sense because other characters can have multiple of the same attack on screen (Fadon, A.Chun etc.) And I don't see how it being 2 steps would affect it since the ALSO implies both things are happening at once not one after the other. Also my biggest thing is that I think you're just giving the developers too much credit. You're reasoning could be right but I can't realistically think they really put their heads together on this one to put in a sneaky way to kill Bison. They release characters that don't work right all the time. Bison's whole identity this game has been he doesn't die from normal attacks and it seems like they wanted to keep that identity. So when they have it so that he does die from them I can't imagine they did it on purpose.

@MajinBuub360 I’m the last person to give them too much credit lol have you watched my videos 😂 I’m happy to point out screw ups. But chun li who you used as an example her orbs are supposed to remain on the field, she doesn’t spawn orbs while in the middle of spawning orbs her entire animations play out before she can do another orb. It’s the same for every unit in the game, there isn’t a single unit who cancels a skill midway through casting the skill the duration of the skill (or animation) is always a thing as they are “in use” and it’s exactly the same with bison, you can see that the moment he takes a fatal blow that triggers his passive he is “in use” and this continues until his passive completion, when the in use is over he can then trigger the passive again. The in use period however runs for longer than the 3 seconds he can’t drop below 1hp (as you can see in the video) I actually don’t see a problem with this design as it leaves a VERY small window where the unit is vulnerable which is exactly how it should be

@Hayzink , This is a bug which i have tested too, and it happens whenever you will have Sagat in your team. otherwise i have tired to repeat it with other characters and couldn't able to achieve bison Dead. let me know your thoughts

It happens with other units too. I’ve had it happen on a team with gouken and tryu Like you can see there is a total of 4 seconds and the can’t die part only lasts 3. I don’t have an issue with this because while it’s not a big weakness , it’s still a weakness and means there is ways to beat a unit (which should always be the case)

The two videos aren't synced (the mdhal breath is at completely different times). I'll post a video on discord of my testing which looks to me like he's dying through his passive.

The breath has nothing to do with when his passive kicks in. It kicks in when he takes the “killing blow” you can see that happens at the same time on both fights The purpose in the video on the left is simply to show how long it takes to go from the moment his passive kicks in until the moment his vortex ends and he is able to then go through his passive again. The fact that he is dying in the video on the right between the 3rd and 4th second of the action is how you know that’s what’s happening. This is repeatable and you can run it as many times as you need to and if you count it from the moment he takes the fatal blow and triggers his passive if you die it will always be in that 3-4 second window

@@Hayzink Thanks for the long response! I posted a clip in the theory crafting channel on discord. OBison procs his passive for the first time with 28 seconds remaining and dies at 22 seconds remaining. So, from my understanding of your explanation, he would be unkillable from 28 to 25, then been vulnerable from 25 to 24. So the earliest he could die is 21 seconds remaining.

@antipodezz I’m not in the discord anymore so I won’t see it. But trying to count it manually is tough as fractions of a second make a difference. When I was editing the video I was able to match it frame by frame. The game also has its own small quirks which I’ve noticed where his passive can sometimes take 3.75 seconds to complete and other times I’ve seen it take 4.2 to complete (again talking fractions of a second but it makes it slightly harder to validate exactly every time) The 1 constant is the thing always takes more than 3 secs from start so there will always be a small window where he can die. It’s not a bug because they haven’t lied in his passive but I guess it’s possible they never anticipated anyone actually being able to kill him in the inbetween. If they want him to do the whole imortal thing they will either have to fire the vortex at the same moment everything else triggers or extend the duration of this can’t drop below 1hp and update the description.
