There are four colour palettes used at Perch Hill which act as a basis for planting in the garden and for all flower arrangements.
1. 'Dark and Rich', which is also called 'Venetian Velvets'. It's really bold, saturated colours, but too much crimson and it becomes a bit somber, often used with 'boiled sweet'.
2. 'Boiled Sweet', or if blue is added it's 'Stained Glass'. Bright, joyful colours which can become a bit manic. So you can seed by adding a splash of 'Dark and Rich', really calms it down.
3. 'Soft and Warm' - the cashmere jersey colours. Predominantly white with a squidge of warm pastel tones - apricots, cafe au lait, peaches.
