Can't wait to get home and watch this. We discovered this channel on Jan 1st, when our son went to Nicaragua and have binge watched every episode! We could have a drinking game for every time the word Nicaragua is mentioned, but we would be hammered by now! Keep up the great work guys! Cheers from chilly Canada!

Great progress brother! Love the off roading shot! You don't need chains for your tires, lower the air pressure. In Nicaragua, they like to put the tires at 40 PSI. Keep them at 35, then when you get the dirt roads, lower then to 20 PSI for the mud. Try 4L for better control up the mud hill, too. Get an air pump to reinflate them when you hit the pavement. I live in Jinotega, all mud and mountains too! ⛰️💪

Awesome video. Felicidades hermano

Hi Elton, I continue to enjoy your videos. I'm usually eager to watch whatever you share with us, but after reading the comments on this specific video, I saw that many of the people making the comments are not from Nicaragua or at least not from the north, thus they remark or judge without understanding how the farms actually operate. Food, housing, and payment are provided by the farm owner to the families who reside there. Because they reside there, parents typically teach their kids how to work the land; child exploitation does not occur there in the way people could think; instead, wives frequently prepare meals for the workers while men labor in the fields. Children are always taught how to work on coffee plantations by their parents. Although I personally disagree with some things that occurs on farms or in rural regions (I’m an animal proteccionist), this has long been the case. Since children can now attend school more easily and roads are better than they were thirty or twenty years ago, things are considerably better. Moving to another area and living there requires respect for their way of life; I experienced this when I relocated from Managua, Nicaragua, to San Francisco, California. I must integrate myself into their culture and way of life. The same is true for Elton. He can't go and alter everything because he's seen various traditions in the USA; sometimes you simply have to respect other people's traditions, even if you don't like them, and attempt to fit in rather than try to change them. Continue doing what you do and please make more videos! Saludos a tu esposa e hijo.

Hello! I’m subscribed to your channel and watch your videos! We are also from Northern California are looking to relocating to Panama? (was Costa Rica). Really love your coffee farm and wish you all the best! In this video you came across a tree that had fallen!..I noticed that the trunk was (is) rich in both orchid and bromeliad plants! Please harvest and replant on trees closer to your home!…you will be rewarded with fragrant and beautiful blooms! Also are you growing the vanilla orchid?…goes good with or along side coffee or chocolate! Regards!

I have been working on rehabilitating our coffee farm in Dominican Republic. I have a few varietals but I am not fond of Catimor (Costa Rica 95). It doesn't taste as good as Parainema or Obata. Another thing that I don't like is that it can be affected by the coffee rust (La Roya).

Interesting! I was just watching a documentary on Nicaragua..the fact that it has returned to being a dictatorship again after 45 years.. Journalists are in jail as well as priests and bishops sent into exile.. It’s supposedly one of the worst dictatorships in Latin America right now..

At the end of the video you're driving in a narrow dirt road which is dangerous while filming I think Courtney could help holding the camera 📸 or video recording in the surrounding while you're watching the road and talking at the same time.....
