I figured since it was mentioned in both of the videos that I’ve seen regarding the Mind I’d fill everyone in on the eGPU access speed. The eGPU that Khadas will be releasing for the Mind will be running at PCIE 5.0 speeds. At least according the specs on their website if you read all the fine print. 😉

I just went back and watched the first video without occulink. But I was like wait a minute. Yeah definitely should have used the V-Sync. Because the frame times. With oculink is noticeably not as worse.! Maybe the 4.0 port inside may yield better results. Which could have alleviated some of the Frame time latency. And as always.! Great video excellent review. 👍👍

Kinda an unrelated topic but Honestly this needs more attention. The steam deck has a huge issue with getting a black screen where device works but the screen just doesn’t. Everyone on reddit is reporting this issue and all valve does is replace it than actually do something to fix this issue. I wasn’t lucky they wanted to charge me 145 to fix the deck even though it’s they’re fault for the faulty hardware.

I’m hoping something similar to this card is in the next steam deck or rog ally. Be nice to play unreal 5 games 1080p fsr 2 set to balanced ultra settings 60fps! I think we’re about one or two generations away from being able to do that. Apus just need to upgrade the memory bandwidth on the SOC so many bottlenecks. That’s why increasing compute units doesn’t seem to do much

Nich product mostly due to not being mainstream. I don't see a lot of gamers dragging around a box full of cables, on the go monitor, keyboard and mouse, plus the unit and possibly a GPU . Not a need to game on the go at 4k or 1440p when the likes of ally and deck are readily available. Not saying it's not a cool product but as a gamer i wouldn't want to use it as a desktop replacement either.I see it as nich at the moment. Just my opinion.

would be nice to see a 90 degree m.2 to oculink adapter! the one you are showing in many videos seems very impractical. It's just a pity that there are such nicely looking compact products and they are connected by comparably thick and ugly cables sticking out at a 90 deg angle.
@chamoo232
@chamoo232 Жыл бұрын
I think they make them like that because the majority of M2 slots are made with SSD in mind so they have something in the way at the edge. Ideally I think Oculink should just become a norm in all those mini PC and Windows handhelds. When it's built into the motherboard it really doesn't take much more space than a regular USB port.

Apparently they have a lesser config not mentioned in this video that has an i5-1340P and 16GB of RAM for $550 preorder and $800 regular price. Nobody is going to pay $1100 for this thing... @vinyfiny
@vinyfiny Жыл бұрын
@@BlueSparkzVideos Value generally isn't a major concern when dealing with mini PC's, but at $1100 this thing is outrageously expensive even compared to other similarly equipped mini PC's. MAYBE at $800 it makes sense given how compact it is, but a NUC 13 Pro barebones with the same processor is $620. Add 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD and you're at $750, MAYBE $800 on the high end. I'm not saying their costs aren't legitimate, but they can't ignore what competitors are charging for similar configs.

@vinyfiny Жыл бұрын
@@christopher480 I didn't overlook the accessories. Those have an as yet undetermined price and aren't even guaranteed to actually be released. If the base unit is $1100 you better believe those items are going to fetch a premium as well. The flexibility seems great (assuming all devices actually function as the company claims), but the prices are almost certainly going to be too much for all but the most niche of users which doesn't bode well for them actually releasing if they're coming from a Kickstarter.

JFC, what is with the lack of RESOLUTION comparison information on this channel??? We see Forza Horizon doing TRIPLE DIGIT FPS at 4K, then God of War you change it to 1080p? Why? What was God of War at 4K? 60? 40? 30? Single digits? Ultra? Medium? Low?What is wrong with providing information BEFORE you downgrade the resolution? Pick a resolution and stick with it so we can see an actual variance between games or be like any other normal channel would and show MULTIPLE RESOLUTIONS. At this point this channel is just one big Sponsorship where he’s clearly not allowed to show anything below 60FPS so anytime something goes 58FPS or lower, we won’t actually see it we’ll just see “well let’s try this different game at a lower resolution rather than actually see what it would be at the same resolution we’ve been doing everything else at” Pointless paid ad. Thanks for letting me know this is NOT the PC I’m looking for if we can’t get simple apples to apples comparisons.
