@@TheMINIac I think he is referring to the swirl marks on the paint at certain angles. Probably just an effect from automatic car washes.

@@TheMINIac It’s barely noticeable in the sunlight at certain angles. Definitely nothing that needs to be done. But as someone that details, I noticed. Still a fantastic looking car.

Wondering if you still feel the same on this limited edition. I have the opportunity to buy one used with 10K miles and a manual to boot. I think only 60 manuals for the hopkirk edition made it to the states. Looking at this one and a used black w/ red top 24 JCW with 4K miles on it. Also manual. Thoughts?

How does the DCT in this compare to the 8 speed aisin in the JCW?

The DCT in the Cooper is better than the DCT in the Cooper in this generation. The 8-speed automatic is great in the JCW, just don’t drive it around town in sport automatic as the shifts tend to be delayed. Out on the highway, the 8-speed in sport automatic is quite good and so is the 7-speed

@ In the last years I test drove a few F56 Minis (Cooper S with DCT and two JCW’s with 8 speed (though not direct comparisons) and my feeling was that the DCT in the S (F56) was more fun than the 8 speed in both the JCWs. Could that be true? More direct?

Could be true. One is an automatic while the other is an automated manual, DCT having dual clutch plates.

After the launch of the Cooper SE electric, they gave you the option of Navigation on both the smaller screen and the larger screen.
