Guys just invest in a AG pair of boots I tore my ACL for this exact reason I wore FG vapors and mid turn my cleats got stuck and did not turn with the rest of my body... think of it as an investment you have no idea how much rehab and everything costs after an ACL injury. If you think it won't happen to you because you are invincible think again i thought that way and never been injured in my life until this injury.

I would 100% do this , this somewhat prevents serious injuries , obviously football is football but the amount of times I’ve done my ankle by my studs getting caught because there too long , I now buy all my boots in AG , great video Josh 👏

AG is harsher than FG. So, a boot designed to survive on AG pitches will of course last on FG pitches, although it might not produce the same traction.

True but, if you don’t care too much about super aggressive traction than the ag pro work really well on fg. Not to mention pro pitches are extremely well taken care of unlike your Sunday league pitches

Hey John, I'm on my school's JV soccer team and we play almost always on natural grass but sometimes we practice or play on our turf field or the turf fields of other schools. Playing on turf messed up my Nemeziz 18+ and made the soleplate peel. The boots are still good but I will be getting new boots during this up and coming season. Are you sure the insole is the same? I remember the AG Vapor 11 having a slightly thicker insole with poron inserts. As opposed to the FG Vapor 11 insole which was a thin layer of foam with perforations.

Josh I played a match this weekend on a very wet turf field that was soaking wet and my shoes and feet were soaked. I tried taking a couple of long shots using my adidas cleats which obviously don’t have acc, my shot missed by a good two meter and my shooting that game just wasn’t what I know I’m capable of doing. I had actually being vapor untouchable I's for the longest, they're so much more durable and otherwise were basically the same boot as the superfly. @Soccer Reviews For You - Hey Josh! I suffered an ACL tear and making a comeback to playing on firm ground grass in South Africa. I wanted to pick up a pair of AGs, and eyeing the Vapor 13 Pro AGs. Would you consider the stud pattern and sole plate less grippy than a Magista Opus FG (I know they're old, but got a pair of them)? Both similar conical design, but Vapor AG has some slight differences (the hollow studs, two chevron blades on the heel etc - would they make much of a difference?). I'm looking for something safe, easy to turn and rotate in, and not as grippy as Adidas boots I've been wearing (Prredator 18.1). Any thoughts - Grab some Vapor 13 AG Pros? Or stick old-school with the Magista Opus?

The AG-Pro stud pattern will be similar to those Magistas. Even wearing a turf shoe to start getting back into it wouldn't be a bad idea.

The Elites feel a little tighter, but in general they're pretty similar in shape. The Academy does feel quite a bit different though.

In my opinion buy high model FG and mercurial vapor pro or nemezis 18.2 but ag to training. I mean you know not academy boots but halfs. I have FG and i play on AG and my boots definitely dont like it. 6 months and i have some problems with my pair.

I used fg on artificial ground - now im out for 8 months. 2 weeks ago i under went my ankle surgery repairing a ruptured atfl and cfl also a longitudinal split in my tendon. The injury happened after i rolled my ankle twice. Once in two separate games. After i rolled it the first time i didnt play for a month as it was quite swollen i just did the standard rice and it went back to looking healthy straight away i rolled ten minutes in trying to turn (it destroyed my ankle) Ive never been in so much pain instant burning from my heel to the tip of my toe and a growing like pain from heel to knee i very much shouted and definitely thought about crying!

FSP_ Blaze the mercurial fg stud pattern is definitely more aggressive or more grippy than all if adidas’s stud patterns full stop. If you get the ag stud pattern on the mercurials like josh in the video is holding at the start you will be a lot more safer as the conical studs nike use for their ag plate has a bit more flex than usual you still get grip but foot or feet wont be getting stuck in the ground when you twist and turn

They're similar, but not the same. MG is only a thing on the Academy and Club models. The AG models have not been made available in the US for the last little while.

Bladed studs on AG are a very bad idea . Used to wear some old school preds on AG and went for a challenge on defense my foot stuck in the turf and rolled the shit out of my ankle

I sprained my ankle and keep getting continuous sprains to the point where I don’t mind them and have to wait a few days to play but I want to prevent ankle sprains, as of lately I have been using vapor 11 with an FG soleplate and I’m wondering if an AG soleplate will actually prevent that

For Nike's AG studs, I often get rubber turf debris from the AG ground stuck in my studs' hollow gaps. Doesnt this hinder the intended purpose of it being hollow as it essentially get stuck full of debris the moment i run in my boots? Also, do I have to remove the debris from the studs after every use? Please help :p

It won't impact performance or traction. The hole through the middle simply allows the stud tips to flex ever so slightly. Rubber pellets in the whole won't prevent the studs from flexing under the weight of your entire body. You can clean them out after each use if you want, but it's not necessary.
