@@TheBrothersMurph If you liked Turing Machine, I’m pretty sure you’ll like The Search for Planet X. It’s not so pure logic deduction: it has a bit of betting and out-thinking your opponents, but the logic puzzle part is really satisfying.

Such an amazing game, I'm super happy I got a copy at Gen Con, it was a tough nab for sure. Great little logic puzzle, and I enjoy the competitive mode quite a bit, it has just a touch of tension, but we don't take it super seriously. I like to think of it as a game of hubris and humility, sometimes you think you have it, and you've made some assumption that you're ignoring and that trips you up, and when you're trying to get an answer in just one fewer questions it's very tempting.
@itsGabrielaCristina2 жыл бұрын
This looks quite cool. What I’m worried about is how often if will hit the table, especially in its competitive mode. I think it’s incredibly well designed.

I've never played wordle but this seems like an easier/solo version of Visitor in Blackwood Grove.
@JorWat252 жыл бұрын
I've looked into this, and this can get really difficult at the higher levels. Some of the later verifiers have up to nine possible conditions, with a lot of overlap. The examples here were all mutually exclusive (i.e. each code could only fit one condition), that is not true for the later verifiers. For example, Verifier 41 is 'the number of one specific color compared to 4', where a tick on, say, 345, tells you that the condition is either 'blue is less than 4', 'yellow is equal to 4' or 'purple is greater than 4'. Plus there's an 'extreme' mode where each verifier has two cards in front of it, meaning there are even more conditions each verifier could have. And if that's not enough, there's also a 'nightmare' mode where you're not told which verifier is using which card. So while the easy modes are pretty accessible, it can get really hard if you want it to.

@@Poiuytrew.Q it's on BoardGameArena if you're interested in checking it out! We've always played the 2p game, where each player is trying to be the first to crack the other's 5-digit code. The code is always in ascending order, but each number can range from 0-9 and be either black or white (except for 5s, which are always green). You have to guess both the digits and the colours to win the game. Matches are quick to set up and play, we love it as a warmup before playing something more serious :)

I’ve mostly played solo/coop and played multiplayer once. Honestly either way is cool. As I said in the video I just don’t really care if I “win” I just want to get the code answered as quick as I can. But multiplayer is solid because everyone plays simultaneously and it’s fun to get competitive with your friends and try to get the answer quicker than they can
