Literally adressed Maldonado at the end of the video. Along with a couple others. The reason it's Drury is cuz he played over 100 games. Other guys didn't play enough.
@madethecut11 күн бұрын
Almost 100 games, but yeah, exactly. There’s horrid sample sizes all the time, but nearly triple digits? That’s a SEASON. This is, in my opinion, something different than a title like “slowest player” which is more based on rate stats not likely to change much over a wide sample size.

@jrlangston6779 i saw, recently, a post with a chart of in the last 15 years teams that have won a Super Bowl, a conf championship, division games, or haven't even made the playoffs, etc, (for example the Cowboys being in the "won a WC game" category or the Dolphins not making the playoffs category) and the amount of brain dead pancakes who were commenting "this list is so stupid and wrong! The Vikings went to 4 Super Bowls in the 70s!!" or "ummm the Dolphins went back to back in 72/73! How could they never have made the playoffs!" because they couldn't be bothered to read the fucking TITLE was just astounding. Though to-date my absolute favorite was a post this year that said Cal Ripken Jr was excited to see someone wearing his dad's Orioles #7 jersey (with Jackson Holiday making his debut wearing #7). It showed a picture of Ripken Sr and the tweet from Ripken Jr. My God. When I tell you 95% of the comments were reeeing that "tHatS noT rIpKEN iN tHE piCtuRE!!" and "riPkEN wAS nUmBEr 8!!".......holy smokes my guy. One of the most famous baseball players ever.....and these supposed "fans" don't know the difference between Cal Jr and Cal Sr.....and can't read 😂

What the hell are BWAR, FWAR, OPS, OPS Plus, WRC plus, and the other non-stats you mentioned? How about batting average, home runs, RBIs, stolen bases, and other *real* stats? Old-timers like myself, who have loved baseball for 60 years or more, can't begin to comprehend what some of these things mean. And as far as WAR, there is no formula to determine this particular non-stat. It's totally subjective. Drury batted .169, with 4 homers, 15 RBIs, and 1 stolen base in 97 games. You're right, that's pretty bad, but I presented it in English! 😄
